McCain said “Joe the plumber” faced “much higher taxes” under Obama’s tax plan and would pay a fine under Obama’s health care plan if he failed to provide coverage for his workers. But Ohio plumber Joe Wurzelbacher would pay higher taxes only if the business he says he wants to buy puts his income
over $200,000 a year, and his small business would be exempt from Obama’s requirement to provide coverage for workers.
Update Oct. 16: ABC News reported the morning after the debate that Wurzelbacher admitted to a reporter that he won't actually make enough from his new plumbing business to pay Obama's higher tax rates. ABC said his admission "would seem to indicate that he would be eligible for an Obama tax cut."

Arkansas and Arizona? I haven't seen the polling data to support that... but lol.
Arkansas is Bill Clinton terrotory. He's been pretty vocal about his support in the state and looks like the state is rolling with the ol' chum.
Arizona has always been primary democratic, I'd ignore the fact that it's McCain's electorate state.

Yeah, I know they've gone democratic in the past... I just still haven't seen polling to suggest they will this year... would be nice though.

Do you think Obama's stronger showing at this point is largely related to the huge amounts of advertising and money he's been able to pour into those key states?

partially but the message has to resonate in some of these states, and obviously obama's been able to do that.

It has a lot to do with it I'm sure.
Especially the fact that he's set up shop in some states that are almost certain to go red, the fact that he's fighting there means McCain has to focus less on the battleground states and more on the leaning red states which means it becomes a resource game, which McCain can't win.
