Of course not.
I've read the communist manifesto and at the time it was written, I agree the ideas of Karl Marx were fantastic on paper and could if applied correctly could have helped millions of people in desperate situations.
However, in modern times... I can't say that enough of the ideas that were first brought about as a result of communism would work. Well, at least not enough of them put together would work so well that we could call that nation a "successful communist country".

Why don't you post the comment you made where you feel you 'proved' that Palin's use of the word hydrocarbons was mis-used and out of context.
I do agree that perhaps using "hydrocarbon emissions" would have been a better choice of words- but I do not feel that it was used out of context. It was definitely relevant to her argument.
