| I think if degrees from Colombia and Harvard aren't good enough to be elected president, our education system must be a total failure... |

I do hope our education system gets better for kids with mental/learning disabilities.
Lots of schools for them are paid 50-75% by the govt and the rest the schools have to fund themselves.
I care because I want to be an Occupational Therapist for the kiddies.
and because I love Tigerpaw. :stongue: |

And by the way Lebz... (I think it was you on another post about Peggy Noonan saying "it's over")... if it wasn't you then my bad. But here she is shortly after that explaining how that statement was taken out of context by MSNBC and she didn't mean it like that

Well she wouldn't have much of a career as a conservative pundit otherwise, would she?
I didn't post it, but I'll let the tape stand for itself. |

Have you even been following this election for more than a week? You're obviously very unfamiliar with Barack Obama as a candidate. |

I sure feel ripped off for coming from a lower-middle class family in western PA, sinking myself over $60K in loan debt in order to get an Ivy League education. Maybe it's that fact that makes me despise Republican politics the most for refusing to acknowledge that we deserve better than your next-door neighbor or the "guy you want to have a beer with" to run the country.
But we all know that Obama had the world handed to him on a silver platter and that he and Michelle were legacy trust fund kids at Columbia, Princeton and Harvard.
Seriously, don't you people have any desire to have people who are better than you run the country? People who understand you, but are more intelligent than you and upon reflection, are trying to implement positive change in your life?
To be honest, it's the attitudes like I see coming from the Republican party that inhibit very positive candidates from ascending to high office. |

It's not that hard to criticize her with facts. There's really no need to go there. |

Yes, but I'm Cuban and grateful for my parents [ who were granted political freedom from Cuba ] and I grew up to be thankful & grateful :)
been voting since i could vote... and don't underestimate the republican crackheads! (even during no presidential elections for my state... except now while i'm in NY :()
-edit sorry.. this is just a big mess haha.. u get me - i've got 5 windows open. Football season > politics atm. |
Ok, now I see where you've come from. Cuban exiles do tend to be Republican. But I wish we didn't have an embargo against Cuba just because they are communists. Why not an embargo on China or Vietnam? |
