He basically ended the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union(I know theres more detail to it but thats the basic idea) |

You're ineptly ignorant of history and have bought into this conservative story that's not based in reality. That simple.... |

Why is he rated one of the best presidents by many people? Clinton is actually rated to be one of the worse presidents with all the scandals he had. |

Yes, the inefficiency and corruption that abounded in USSR's command economy had absolutely nothing to do with its collapse, did it? |

Which is why history will judge the current American population poorly...
The WSJ in 2005 polled people on the best President. The current dumbass beat his own father (19th), who also was right above Clinton on the list 21st and 22nd. I will acknowledge that H.W. was far better than his son, so what's that say about the ratings? |

It's like these stupid people that claim that they improved the economy, even though it goes through cycles. |

Well, political policies can have real effects on the economy. The delusion is in reducing things to simplistic formulas like "more taxes = always evil," not in arguing that politicians can affect the economy. |

I didn't say that they couldn't affect it, but being President when the economy is on a up or downswing doesn't mean that they caused it. |

True. Policies can take years to have an effect, so trends in the economy may actually be due to a previous President's actions. Or they may have nothing to do with him at all. |
