He was born in Hawaii, which is a US state, which would mean he is a natural born citizen. |
So why is it being implied (?) that he was born in Kenya to a non-US father, and a US-citizen mother who was blah blah blah?
It's just all completely inaccurate?
This is all I'm trying to find out here.
Please pick an answer from below:
1. He was born in the US, and there are no issues whatsoever regarding his eligibility to run for the presidency.
2. It's possible there are some issues regarding his eligibility to run for the presidency, such as birth country, and mother's citizenship status at the time of his birth.
I just want a straight answer - I'll leave you alone after that :p Probably.
Edit: God, please tell me I don't sound quite as retarded as Spacecake :( |

if it's that simple, why doesn't he just provide the documents? why is he delaying his response to the lawsuit?
in any case, instead of putting it off any longer, why doesn't he just deliver the birth certificate he has and not a weird "on-demand" one? (doesn't everyone have a birth certificate on hand?)
of course, we can always assume that we can believe everything everyone says... but what about the shadiness in how his family members say "he wasn't us born" and why is there such speculation against any consistency among his family members?
all the press wants is the real birth record, one that other candidates have provided... why should obama be exempt from this?
just because he happens to be a senator, and happens to be a us citizen does not mean that he is qualified to be president of the usa... you don't have to be a natural born us citizen to be us senator...
sure, you can say that you don't care about the natural born citizen part, but what does it say about someone who may not be a natural born citizen and how he thinks he can become president anyway, just because the voters don't care and he's already so close? does it mean that he doesn't care about the us constitution and about his potential vows to the american citizens to put their interests first?
unless, you ask someone, "do you care if he provided fake birth certificate documents in his run for presidency?" and they say "no"... i mean, it's a matter of "should obama be given some slack because the republican party is so unpopular and the economy is in disarray or should the us constitution be upheld to the highest degree always?"
it's shady that he isn't providing documents that satisfy the inquiring parties... why not provide the documents that are irrefutable and go on with the election... right? |

He has a Hawaii birth certificate. That should settle it. |

Neither do you have to be natural born to be president. President van Buren was born in Holland. But that doesn't matter, Obama was BORN IN HAWAII!!
Why is he "delaying his response to the lawsuit?" Well, you know, he is pretty busy doing something called...RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. I bet he can't even remember the last time he got a full night of sleep. Don't worry spacechica, this POS lawsuit will most certainly be thrown out of court. The onus isn't on Obama to prove he's a citizen, the onus is on Mr. Berg to prove he is not, and his case, is EXTREMELY WEAK, simply by the fact that Mr. berg must prove a negative, which is pretty much impossible. Is it no wonder the radical right is rallying behind this guy? Michael Savage? Hellooooo????;) |

Good enough for me
Like I said earlier, it would be a shame if he wasn't allowed to run, based on some technicality bull, and after all this time.
Thanks for the info, but, Mr Krypton, you are just one person. Anyone else, please feel free to fill me in on anything our glowstick wielding friend hasn't informed me of :p |

by reading the responses on TA, i can sort of figure that the voters don't care if there's the slightest possibility that obama isn't a "natural-born us citizen" and that they want obama in the office... is that right? |

what about the questions going around about how obama isn't playing by the rules when it comes to fundraising?
