Maybe that's why I found it so painful. I just realized I forgot to lube up first. |

hahaha, ok Mel, what about him? Pony up here.
You're getting all of your information from obviously biased (and incorrect) sources. Your decision is your own, but basing it off of misinformation is just comical to the rest of us. | Well if i'm wrong tell me. I don't have a major problem with this. I just think he helped fund those low income houses and with tax payer money. Lots of it. :\
This isn't the main reason why I *generally* vote republican. I'm sorry but yes I am a one stance above the rest, voter. I know it's bad. I'll admit it! Even my dad may be voting on the other side so that's why I'm not too sure about Florida. ;\ |

The difference is that the Republican Party is doing it here, not the media.
The Democrats haven't said a ing thing about Palin's daughter. |
The media isn't even doing it!!!
This is straight out of the GOP playbook - cast Palin as a victim so she can be a redemptive figure for insulted women everywhere.
| quote: | Either McCain's vetting process was a complete sham. Or his press operation is the worst in modern presidential politics history. Or some unholy blend of both.
Campbell Brown isn't the story - people are underestimating her, as they always have. No, the story is that Tucker Bounds went on national television without material to answer what is maybe the simplest, most straightforward follow-up question any reporter can ask: "What's your evidence for that assertion?" And I suspect that the reason they canceled Larry King is not to punish CNN (it doesn't work that way) it's that they still couldn't come up with an answer to the question by the time his show aired.
Now look at this comment from McCain honcho Steve Schmidt to Katie Couric last night: "Members of this campaign went to off-the-record lunches with reporters today, and they were asked if she would do paternity tests to prove paternity for her last child. Smear after smear after smear, and it's disgraceful and it's wrong. And the American people are going to reject it overwhelmingly when they see her."
First of all, that's the first time I've heard anyone in the campaign/political press throw out the notion of paternity tests. So Schmidt is to blame for bringing that issue into the mainstream. If anyone is smearing the candidate, it's Schmidt. This is as cynical a tactic as I've ever seen in politics.
Secondly, how can it be a "smear" if it was during an off the record lunch with McCain campaign aides?
Thirdly, hey, colleagues, you're on notice: Steve Schmidt does not respect "off the record." Watch your backs, my friends. |
Who are the bad guys here? The media? Why, for asking questions and DOING THEIR JOB? Nobody called them out when they asked questions about Rezko or Rev. Wright. Why is the rash decision by McCain to choose a running-mate with no national issue experience not fair game for scrutiny? Instead they go around planting stories about Bristol and then crying foul about the way its reported. |

I'm just sad HST isn't around to comment on this whole rigamarole - this seems like it would have been brilliant fodder for him.
I've been on a rampant HST binge the past month and it's scary to read the stuff he wrote in 88 about Biden's presidential bid - and how eerily similar the tone he took then seems to map onto how I feel about the current election.
Edit: Babies come out of vagina's unless it's a c-section or an abortion.
Edit 2: Wait, scratch abortions from that last edit. |
