Well if you have a journalism degree it proves you are an idiot. If you have a Phd in Mathematics then it proves you've taken a bunch of math classes, and are competent enough that you've also made an original contribution to your field of study. |

Well, a few degrees (Math, Physics, Engineering) pretty much ensure at least some degree of competence in a specific field, but outside of those, all of this diploma-mongering is pretty much irrelevant, I think. |

It's all reactionary for me man. When certain people disagree with my political view, they toss out the words "stupid" and "unintelligent". They know absolutely nothing about my intellect or education, and base a comment on opinion. I know a person's intellect isn't solely reflected by a standardized test, just like it isn't based on someone's political views. I know who I am and what I've accomplished because of my intellect, not in spite of it, so when someone questions it based on no real evidence, I have no problem saying that I'll be happy to prove them wrong. |

Jesus... that's awesome. If you get job working with NASA, you're f'ing set with your resume for good, even if you only work with them for a couple of years. The Environmental program I was in was combined with Civil too, but I don't have any interest in that. the NVR side opens a lot of doors. |
