imo...only disturbers and people who are looking for trouble will head down to that designated area if they don't; live, work, or have to go there urgently. They've warned people months in advanced to avoid that area because they're hosting the heads of states. The most important people in the world.
I've been avoiding the entire downtown core since 1mth leading up to it, when they started putting up those cameras. I just don't want the hassle. There's nothing there that I have to go for anyways, so why go and look to be harassed by the popo?
I say, if you go there and whine that your 'rights' have been violated?...well then good! That means that the cops are doing their job and checking everything & everyone. Last thing 'WE' want happening in Toronto is for a major figure being assassinated or an attempt made to one of them under our watch. It would be the worst thing to happen to Toronto's rep.
edit:
Unfortunately, as in war, you can never let your guard down and assume someone's 'innocent' just by looking at them. You must assume all are capable of harm until you've ruled it out first hand. Especially when dealing with safety & security. It doesn't work in a 'civilized' way as in a courtroom. Because lives are at steak here. It's usually when you are lenient and let your guard down, when happens. |

| I doubt that he was actually going to use any of that. Probably to prove a point (or maybe it was an agent sent to show that there are dangers out there........ ) |

Some reports say that the man who was arrested is from the boonies north of Toronto. He apparently lives in his car (explaining why he would keep such items in this home-made storage box). The poor sod started crying, not understanding why he was being arrested.
Also CNN is now reporting that no dangerous chemicals were found in the car and that the incident does not appear to be linked to the G20 summit.
Lets not get all paranoid here people. Remember A BILLION dollars will buy you ALOT of False Flags and Paranoia!Gotta justify it..SOMEHOW.. Just saying.

lets see:
1) ridiculously obvious car - police have justification in the public eye to stop him
2) relatively harmless everyday items seized but still unusual enough to cause people to wonder
3) lining them all up along the sidewalk for public display and cameras on scene. Highly unusual move for police dealing with evidence. Especially from a legal defense point of view.
Am i the only one who thinks this is most likely a plant? A sort of agent provocateur move so to speak?
This whole thing looks and smells fishy to me |

That person deserved to get caught with that kind of contraption on his roof.
Time to roll up on the G20 with armed H1s and show them who's really boss.
Anyways this guy should have watched Swordfish... have an awesome car and store an M60 in the trunk and no one would have been the wiser :p |
