Blowing bubbles at a cop during G20 is just plain dumb. "I'm trying to spread happiness" - wtf. You're trying to be annoying and distract police from their real jobs. It's like standing next to someone trying to do their job and going "I'm not touching you I'm not touching you" and expecting them to be able to concentrate.
People like this piss me off.
I'd say it's more dumb that as a species we seem to have veered so far off in this hyper-controlling direction. I honestly don't think I'd be able to say "if any of those bubbles touch me, I'm going to arrest you and you'll be charged with assault" with a straight face - it sounds like a line out of Woody Allen's Sleeper.

The toronto community mobilization network ran a protest school, put up, fed, tought and organized visiting protesters, and refused to denounce violence of their participants before the summit. Anyone who writes their lawyer's phone numbers on their arm, wear bandanas as masks, etc, were 100% ready to get arrested and knew damn well what they were getting into. If they went there so ready to be arrested, why are they complaining about it? I don't go to a nightclub with a condom in my pocket and then complain about getting laid.

Thats the problem though, the Police didnt do their job instead they went after innocent people standing around on the streets and throwing them into jail. Why didnt the police do their job and stop the black bloc's?

Are you telling me that all those 1000 people that were arrested had bandanas and their lawyer's phone number written on their arms and wanted to cause violent? Come one dude let’s get real here for once.
I bet you anything if it was you being arrested for absolutely nothing you would have been pissed off too. Most people unfortunately don’t understand the feeling of being beaten or arrested for just walking down the street.
Lets your own club example here, how would you feel if let's say you were walking around at a club and next thing you know you are surrounded by 10 bouncers and then they throw you in the corner and search you and beat you up for no reason at all?

The real news is nothing but crap.
Tory filibuster seeks to block hearings on G20 policing
Stephen Harper’s Conservatives are filibustering to block opposition efforts to launch hearings on policing at the Toronto G20 summit, accusing political rivals of seeking a platform to build sympathy for “thugs and hooligans” who rioted there.
Parliament is adjourned for the summer, and the opposition majority – the NDP, Liberals and Bloc – forced the Commons committee on public safety to reconvene on Monday to vote on whether to start federal hearings on the G20 security.
But during a two-hour meeting, Conservative MPs on the committee repeatedly requested speaking time to object to holding an inquiry now, and the Tory chair refused opposition demands for a vote. Opposition MPs together can out-vote the Tories on the committee.
“I don’t agree with the NDP and the fact it seems to be lining itself up with anarchist groups that went to Toronto and caused damage,” Tory MP Dean Del Mastro told the committee. “To recall this committee on an emergency basis is nothing more than a cheap political stunt.”
Outside the security perimeter at the G20 summit, stores in downtown Toronto were vandalized and police cars were set ablaze. More than 1,000 people were arrested, but only 263 charged with anything more serious than breach of peace. And the methods police used to disperse and detain protesters have been criticized.
Opposition parties accused the Tories of ducking scrutiny of their role in the matter, saying Canadians deserve a federal review of the conduct of security forces and alleged civil liberties violations.
NDP MP Paul Dewar said dismissing hearings on the grounds that some protesters committed violence was scurrilous behaviour, saying it was the Harper government’s decision to hold the G20 summit in Toronto.
“When you have 1,000 people, the biggest mass arrest in Canadian history happen, someone’s got to be accountable. I think the accountability is with those who decided to have this meeting,” Mr. Dewar said.
The Tories said that Parliament should wait for the outcome of reviews conducted for the Toronto Police Services Board and the RCMP.
Bob Dechert, a Conservative MP, said he is concerned anarchists or other demonstrators could use Commons hearings to build sympathy. “They want to have the media attention to talk about how they were handled by the police and perhaps try to get out the message they didn’t get out during the protest because of the silly things – and actual very criminal things – they did to try to disrupt those summits.”
Liberal MP Mark Holland said opposition parties plan to continue the attempt to jump-start hearings on G20 policing.
The Liberal MP said the role the federal government played in the G20 security requires a far more exhaustive scrutiny than will come out of existing reviews.
He said it’s dishonest of the Tories to smear opposition parties as pro-violence.
“There is not a person ... who does anything but condemn the violence that we saw. That’s not the issue here. The issue is the directives that were given and how this thing got so out of control,” Mr. Holland said
Now I know for sure the Conservatives have something to hide it is very obvious by their disgusting behaviors. They are going to play the old Republican games in this country, either you are with us or you are with the Black bloc terrorists.. this is simply OUTRAGEOUS!!

My condom was not intended for the bouncers.
If I had items on my person that would suggest possible intent to disturb sh!t, I wouldn't be let in the club in the first place.

Here is a good raw footage of what happend to the Police car, what is important to notice here is that the Cops are just standing around and not even trying to stop anyone, but thats ok I guess they were just doing their job by doing NOTHING.

The primary job of the police in the G20 was to ensure the safety of the leaders. Not to disperse and play fireman to protect a burning cop car FFS. The car was already on fire! I really fail to see how when these anarchists set a cop car on fire, it's the cops fault.

Ok fine then let’s assume that their secondary job was to protect the city, again they failed. You telling me 1 Billion dollars couldn’t stop a few hundred kids from trashing the city? Was their job was to protect these "leaders' then why did they go on a in rampage the next day and arrested everybody?
Those People that weren’t even close to where the leaders were staying so how do you justify it? How were all those protestors and ordinary citizens on Queens Park on Sunday posed any threat to the leaders?

Why was the car on fire in the first place? why did they allow it to happen?
