Good to see that you guys find all this humorous. I on the other hand don’t see it that way. I'm still shocked about a lot of the events that took place during the G20 in Toronto. All level of governments is refusing to do any sort of Public inquiry on the way things went down here. Makes you wonder why? Why should I trust the Police to investigate themselves?
yup!

Another example of our beloved cops vilolating our rights. According to this cop (AT at approx 3:55) in the video he says: "This ain't Canada right now". Keep in mind folks that there never was a in 5 meter law. No big deal though right?

and even if there were a 5 metre rules they were not anywhere near it
two quotes:
"this isnt canada anymore" and "you dont have any civil rights here".
And yet a lot of the people still sleep. Sadly they wont awaken until its too late.

When I first heard what this Cops said I couldn’t believe it. WTF do you mean this isn’t Canada? And why the did he grab that kid like that? Like you said Jay no matter how evidence we present many will still choose to ignore what is really happening here. I think this whole G20 was a huge test for us to see how much we as Canadians care about our rights and our freedom of expression.

man, strange issues cause most unlikely people to agree on stuff. jay and navid? who would have thought? :p

I don't disagree there were some shady goings on during the G20 and those people need to be dealt with. The police officers were not the problem...the problem goes much higher then the officers.
My biggest issue in this entire thing is and always has been the method of protesting. The protesters break the law all in an effort to use a form of protesting that hasn't worked in 50 years.

Agreed, and believe me I've sent many emails to all levels of governments about all my concerns. We as citizens demand an explanation and a public inquiry and we wont stop untill that happens.

I disagree with you on this. You are putting all the protestors bad and good in one shoe and making it seem as if they were all responsible for the violents.

In a way they are all responsible for the violence. All of the protesters...whether they were good or bad knew of the potential of violence erupting from these demonstrations. If they found another form of protest...something that would be more effective then a lot of these problems would not have occurred. Sure, there still would have been those bad protesters who would have gone there just to cause but the police would have been able to handle those people better if the good protesters stayed away and found a better way to get their point across.

This video sums up the events in Toronto during the G20. It looks like the Feds were the ones in charge of the whole security and they are the ones that decided not stop the black Bloc. Also the Toronto Police has just decided to conduct its own investigation which is pure bull and unacceptable. We need a public inquiry not the Police investigating themselves.

Well I think its time to start demanding Harper steps down as leader then...if people wanted Blair to step down because of this then shouldn't we be demanding the same thing of Harper?

This matter is about accountability and not just people stepping down from their positions. What is sad is that our government is been ignoring everything that happend in Toronto and that is making many people wonder why?
why is our government refusing to answer some legitimate questions from the Canadians? more and more reports and testimonies are coming out from everywhere about the way people were treated by the Police and what does the Toronto Police do about it? they decide to do their own investigation which is absolutely unjustified and baseless.
The more our politicians ignore the public demand for an inquiry the more and more people will begin to questions their behavior

You can't blame the Toronto Police for following orders...doesn't matter where the orders came from. For individual cases of possible police brutality then the police should hold their own investigations into those...but the individuals have to come forward and demand the investigations or seek legal action.
Any sort of independent investigation into this is going to have to come from the federal government....and I can't see that happening.
