why didn't they leave the area well before it got to that situation. The police were definitely justified in all actions they took. They had ample opportunity to leave before it got to that situation.

you are by far the biggest moron i have ever come across on the internets.

I can actually attest to this. A good friend of mine was hired in the same security group and he told me they did about 3 hours of work in the 12 hour shift, and then went on to tell me his "legendary story" of how he banged some chick also working there DURING his shift.

and while these ing kids were making a load of cash to do all.. the people who pulled this thing off ( the MTCC Staff from the Chairman of the board of directors and CEO down to the overnight cleaning staff worked relentlessly around the clock. 3 management persons from the banquet dept had to be taken to hospital due to exhaustion and stress. not even the most senior wage employee in the bldg made 3 grand in 120 hours.. so anyone who continues to bitch about 1.9 billion dollars, and the police and damage in the street. get your ass up out of your chair, march down to Commisionaires Church st office, and demand your tax money back.. imho.. the intregrated security management and various police agencies did their job and they did it well, which was to deflect the protest marches away from the Red Zone. and the quebec riot police who were on the street saturday from what i could see when ever i passed a tv, or had a couple minutes to read txts from friends who were updating me on what was happening outside... they showed incredible restraint.. the Security management could've said not a single puff of spray paint will be seen over the weekend and had harper declare martial law under the emergencies act the second a protest march tried to push through a police line.

from that video what I saw was the police doing their job and preventing a protect from heading towards the red zone.. as for the grab and goes.. the video and it's caption do not give any indication who they were, what their agenda was, and what they were protesting.. who knows what they were up to hours before that video was shot or the previous day and what intellegence the police might've had on them.

I'm pretty sure I was talking from a point of view of the whole area, not just me - I would like to see what you'd have to say if you had bunch of strangers marching up and down your street, as well as smashing everything on their way

There you go again, painting all protesters with the same brush.

...but clearly some things just go over people's head.

Clearly!

Grabbing people and pummeling them to the ground like that when they are just standing there, not resisting is heavy handed and unnecessary.

That video is disgusting. You can hear in the people's voices how terrified they were.

Thumbs up to the TPS, terrorizing their own citizens.

"To serve and protect."

I'm sorry but I'm tired of spelling out as to why I'm of this opinion, so I might as well stop. You clearly are not hearing my side of the argument.
