I assume that a person heading towards the epi-center of the riot with a gas mask is suspicious - none of the peaceful guys had gas masks on them (and nor were they teargassed, AFAIK) |
I wouldn't assume that, they're going to a protest. Even so if it is suspicious, blatant detaining of someone for 30+ hours for suspicion? Are we really in Toronto? |

no...its not illegal to carry a shotgun...as long as you have a trigger lock on it. Hell, you can drive around with it in the passenger seat and stroke it like its your best pet and there is nothing illegal about it...as long as you have some sort of trigger lock on it. |

if this is true (i always thought there were storage proceedures for transporting a weapon) then i apply the same thing to this scenerio. |

nope..all you need is some sort of trigger lock on the gun.....hand guns is a completely different story. Depending on the hand gun licence you have you have to call in just to transport the gun from your residence to where you are going. You may even be told what route you have to take and you cannot make any stops. |

Excellent letter. |
It is an excellent letter and also shows the proper way to deal with concerns....not running out to the streets with a sign. |

You do realise that the form or protest you're against has had SIGNIFICANT impact on previous political movements in the past right?? |

I liken it to Harper being the geeky high school boarding school kid who wasn't part of the cool crowd... so, in an attempt to impress, he throws a crazy invite-only party at his parent's massive mansion during the summer, with Skipper spinning back to back with Jayx1. |

Also AJ, I read an article of a security guard (not one for the G20 but a 'regular one') trying to stop a protester from smashing and he got surrounded entirely and had to retrat... |
I saw that clip, he wore uniform and displayed authority, so he was a target.

2009 G-20 London security cost £7.2 million.
2009 G-20 Pittsburgh security cost $30 million.
2010 G-20 Toronto security cost $ 930 million.
Considering what happened in last 2 days, CANADA=FAIL |
To balance total costs out... what are the figures for the dammage caused by the protests? |
