| hat eigentlich mal einer den original mix von andre kraml - safari gehört? man hört ja immer nur den berühmten mix von james holden, aber ich finde der original mix sollte auch mal erwähnt werden, sehr schöne sache! einfach zum hinliegen und gutfühlen:) die ganzen tiergeräusche und das elefantentrompeten sind sooo geil... |

Sischa... hab doch die Vinyl 2 mal zuhause :D
Ich finds im Holden Remix immer wieder geil wie man noch die Originalsamples der Tiere etwas raushört. Aber der gute man hats so was von extrem durchgefiltert dass ein normalsterblicher das gar nicht merkt :D |

Aside from the music, I also did the sleeve/label artwork for this. It comes in a full black and white sleeve.
Here is a description from the latest Traum newsletter:
The Canadian Jesse Somfay, a all dressed in black musician with shoulder
long blond hair and razor sharp dialogues, cuts though with a twisted, big
time sound "This fragile addiction" and it´s silent companion on the
flipside "For one brief moment, I was there."
His second Traum release "We breathe the stars through each other" is a
great momentum of a throbbing, energetic flow of energy...emerging in a
modern version of Velvet Undergrounds "While Light White Heat." Jesses
tracks are digital feedback club music, relentless and without fear,
endless, limited to nothing but its sounds and resources... a cosmic
avalanche... a wall of sound...a signal of life ...communication !
"This Fragile Addiction" is an epic, drugged out, mental journey into a
world full of nothing but warm, enveloping and shimmering sunlight
reminiscent of shoegaze bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive and Lush
and also space rock bands such as Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky.
"For One Brief Moment, I Was There" is a melancholy cloud of crisp and
chilling melodies with shattered and stuttering percussion. Jesse brings
together his favorite spacey indie rock sounds with the drive of electronic
dance music to bring a completely unique and ecstatic experience to the
dance floor. His only goal is to make quality emotionally thrilling music
which is completely genre defying.
"We breathe the stars through each other" has a lot in common with James
Holden and friends working on sounds, overtaking the whole track killing
minimal music for a second. But his tracks also reveal some of the past of
minimal music and how it used to be with techno!

Irgendwie .. ich kann mir nicht helfen .. erinnert mich der obere Teil
dieses einen Sleeve Artworks an eine Szene aus "Lord of the Rings"! ;)
Thx 4 posting that One Bernd! :) Auch das Jesse Somfay Review liest
sich sehr lecker und ich freue mich sehr, die 12" dann auch bald in
der Hand halten zu dürfen! ;) Traumschallplatten ist in den letzten
Wochen und Monaten wirklich zu einem meiner Lieblingslabels avanciert
und das nicht nur primär wegen den Releases Dominik Eulberg´s! ;)
So manch anderer Künstler überrascht und überzeugt hier mit brillianten
Produktionen! Ein Label für "Minimal Dreams on 12"! ;) |
