| I've used both the Google and Babel Fish for Spanish to English translation to read some texts. However, they are both not that great. Do you have any better suggestions for a really GOOD Spanish to English translation site for near perfect authenticity of texts? |

can't be done.
the websites will try to do a word for word, which is where translations feck up. it should be more of an interpretation of what is said to be more fluid.
now, if you are trying to understand what is written here (for the most part) you are SOL. hardly anyone uses the accents or tenses properly, and you also have to take into account the regional dialects that gives each spanish speaker their own voice.

^^ Couldn't care less what is written here on TA. Actually I haven't even browsed at any of the texts on this thread.
Only asked because not too long ago, I was shocked to discover my ex-girlfriend from Chile has been badmouthing me on one of her native language Spanish message boards. I gave her hell on the phone for that, without knowing 100% of what I read was accurate. Either way google and babelfish gave me enough "gist" to know it was mostly bad she was saying about me. Girls become evil as the devil after a breakup. :whip: |
