he is a solid stay at home guy, the problem is he looked a lot better when he played for the habs because he was playing with markov. markov makes everyone look better:p
kessel really can't hurt you guys, and it will make you better (if he is healed and plays like he can)...that being said you guys needing to stay out of the penalty box is more important because the TO pk is atrocious. |

| don't forget that kessel played for a MUCH better team. He can't cure it all for you guys, no supporting cast = he will be lucky if he gets the same amount of points per game. |

there's only one way to go for the leafs right now, and that's up. so in that sense, it can't really hurt to have him in the lineup. |

toronto could have traded for a goaltender, and even without picking up kessel they would be a better team with more points in the standings.
goaltending is not as important as it used to be in the new nhl, but when it is as bad as you guys have...eeeesh.
i'm really rooting for you guys to pull out of the basement. As much as i love to poke fun at leafs fans, for us the real rivalry is against boston (for obvious reasons...hockey night in canada calls the leafs vs habs the biggest rivalry in the nhl but it really is not even close to being like habs vs bruins) and yeah...once again i really don't want the b's to pick as high as they will if the leafs continue this way.
they are playing better a bit so there is hope.
the biggest mistake you guys made was hiring brian burke...because he is the most over rated useless gm in hockey. he inherited his stanley cup ring..he did not built toward it.;) |

it was bad enough that the habs wore one on their ugly ass barber pole uniforms last saturday.:p
i'm sure the leafs will beat us this year, without markov and o byrne (yes i can't believe i miss o'byrne but he was playing well until the injury.) we have not been very good either.
they called up mathieu carle to replace the injured lol gill and have been rotating call ups. Hopefully PK Subban will get a shot next:) |

I'm really happy with the intensity the leafs played at tonight, but alas, they again, came up short.
I think they were pumped that Kessel was in the lineup. Damn did that guy let em fly. He shot the puck like it was gonna give him cancer if he had it too long.
We need more people putting it on net, especially someone who can snipe corners.
Although he didn't score, Kessel showed a lot of heart. I just hope he keeps most of that intensity.
And oh man did he get rocked in the 1st lol
I thought he was done for the game when he went off. |

from what I saw last night I saw Blake Jr. in Kessel. Another guy who can skate fast and takes a ton of shots that my 98 year old grandmother could stop. |
