| the leafs seem to play to the level of whatever team they play against. That was a pathetic game to watch....terrible hockey from both teams. At least Blake Jr. finally got another goal. |

6 of 7 road games played on this long trip.
10 points. Very unexpected.
markov has had points in 5 straight games.
gomez 7pts in 4 straight.
pleknanec is on fire, and we have 2 goalies doing a great job.
best pp in the nhl.
i would say that in the last 2 weeks the habs went from hab nots to showing that they are going to push hard for that playoff spot.
remember that convo about philly?
gangne is back and got a hat trick in his first game.
go leafs go:p |

Missed the winter classic. Looked like a good game.
I remember in last year's Winter Classic, Cleary on the Wings (or someone else) got supremely decked into his own bench head over heels. was awesome.
EDIT: lol, I almost missed that post about Burke's son. Go yourself :wtf: |

Ya know, i don't really mind if the Leafs lose as long as they put on a good show... but the show more often than not these days should be booed off stage.
Also, I kind of agree with the notion that Kessel is a very linear player. He doesn't do much other than shoot the puck every time he has it.
I like snipers and all, but for one, he's not sniping many corners, and two, he needs to broaden his play style. |

the guys feeding him the puck are not good at it.
if camillieri played on that weak line, he would have maybe 10 goals instead of 20.
snipers need passers, if not they have no choice but to try and do everything and just take low percentage shots. You don't score like that anymore with the level that goaltenders are today. |

Kessel has two moves....skate with the puck until he gets to the top of the circles and take a snap shot or skate into the zone.....stop and spin around then pass the puck to the other team.
The only players that have impressed me in the last few games are Hagman and Blake. |

from what I've seen he is far from a sniper. He is trying to do it all himself by skating the length of the ice with the puck and just taking a snap shot on goal.
Even if he had someone feeding him the puck in the offensive zone he would still be useless. He can't take a one timer if his life depended on it. He has to settle the puck and then take his snap shot. If the coaches were smart they would make him pay $1000.00 for every snap shot he takes that isn't a goal....maybe then he would learn a new shot. |

when he played on a line with Marc Savard, he was dominant and did one timers quite well. Who does he have passing to him of Savard's quality in TO? ;) Trust me, as a Habs fan i cursed that line quite a bit when it was together...more so when Lucic would make Komi pee on the ice in fear.
Gabovski out with a broken wrist eh? As much as I think he is over rated, that hurts for you guys. |

Not many teams have someone of Savard's ability on their team. I still think Kessel is the kinda player you put on an already good line. He is more a piece of the puzzle then he is a building block you build around.
Gabber out doesn't really bother me...he hasn't really produced lately. He is a fast little annoying ******....kinda like Tucker but without the fists to back him up |

words can not express how much i hate him. Selfish player that puts himself before the team time and time again...and then has the nerve to cry when we didn't want him anymore because of this.
Even if he isn't producing, the Leafs starting lineup is anemic enough as is. |
