In exhibition play at Hamilton's Copps Coliseum, the Maple Leafs opened strong and didn't let up, turning away the Boston Bruins 5-0. O'Neill, Ondrus, Czerkawski, Tucker and Pohl all scored for the Blue and White. Ed Belfour and J.F. Racine split the shutout.

they looked alot better last night. Racine impressed me alot. I doubt he'd get the back-up job though.

Steve Thomas scored his first goal of the preseason and Kyle Wellwood scored a pair as the Maple Leafs turned away the Canadiens 4-3 at Air Canada Centre Thursday. JF Racine and Mikael Tellqvist shared the duties in goal and McCabe opened the scoring. The Blue and White cap off the home-and-home Saturday when they visit the Canadiens in Montreal.

Who do you think has the best shot and locking up one of the remaining forward spots on the Leafs?
Steve Thomas
Matt Stajan
Alex Steen
Kyle Wellwood
che
was at the game last night....wellwood looked good!!! i mean really good!! i'd like to see this guy stick around but i hear that he's playing for the Marlies this season?

The game was much more lopsided then the score showed. They could have won 5-2 or even 6-2. Antropov missed the empty net with a minute to go from like 10 feet:whip: :whip: . Then the Canadiens scored with like 10 sec left.

They also did a penelty shoot out after the game. Man people looked rusty as hell. T.O. won 2-1 but there were some bad misses from both sides.

Overall both teams looked like pre-season teams. Trying out players, etc. T.O. played both the second and thirs string golies, most likely to determine who the back up will be. They looked ok, nothing breathtaking.

lol god is Antropov terrible. What did Mats do to deserve being put on a line with him.

As much as I dislike the Big Stupid Giant I think he has potential. With a proper coach...and Pat Quinn is not the proper coach for this kid.....I think Antropov could develop into a solid second liner

here's a drinking game for you. Take a shot everytime Antropov falls down or Domi looses his stick.
