Impressive win by the leafs tonight and a really good game by Kessel. For once kessel was actually thinking when he got the puck and not just making a B-line for the circle and shooting. If Kessel plays more games like that then the scoring will come back....he's been too focused on trying to score instead of looking to develop a play. |
I agree, he needs to play a full rounded game of hockey, he played so much better. I totally thought he would keep and shoot on the Kulemin goal.
Bozaks goal was a beaut. Glad to see he's getting some time up with the team after such a bad start with the Marlies. He had great potential in the pre season.
Hagman is a useless tit, would be great trade bait.
I have no idea why Burke wont trade Kaberle, hes in his own zone, sure he can pass the puck but is useless otherwise, get something while we can for him.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the game last night, especially since the lady friend was all about it. |

| what would you expect for kaberle?? If he is a free agent at the end of the year (no clue, is he?) you will get a second round pick at most. |

You are either looking for a centre to play with Kessel or a first round pick...but getting someone to give up a first round pick is almost impossible...unless its burke |

Nope, he's a UFA at the end 2011-2012.

| you are not going to get a first rounder for him, even if he is signed. The best you guys can expect is a younger prospect with a possible upside. Kaberle is not , but he isn't so good that there will be a ton of teams throwing crazy talent at the leafs to get him. |

I disagree, any team making a push for the cup whos PP is , needs a puck moving defenseman. I think there is a huge Market, he got a ton of offers last year at the trade dead line. |

Very exciting game for the Leafs last night.
Although they won, I think I'll stick to watching the 6 minute recaps for now... |

David was in his 5th grade class when the teacher asked the
children what their fathers did for a living.
All the typical answers, came up - fireman, policeman, salesman, etc.
David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked
him about his father. 'My father's an exotic dancer in a gay bar and
takes off all his clothes in front of other men.
Sometimes, if the offer's really good, he'll go out to the alley with
some guy and make love with him for money.'
The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the
other children to work on some colouring, and took little David aside to
ask him, 'Is that really true about your father?'
'No,' said David, 'He plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs but I was
too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.'

there are a ton of puck moving defensemen playing for teams that are not going to make the playoffs, and making less than 4.25 million a year.
what do you honestly expect to get for him? serious question.
a mediocre player getting paid too much is not as good as a rental who's contract is up at the end of the year that could bring the same level of mediocrity.:p
seriously, tell me what you think kaberle can fetch?
ps chem, i've seen the habs version too:p |

and if burke got such amazing offers last year, why didn't he trade him?
show me these offers with proof other than media speculation.;)
kaberle is very very VERY mediocre. |

Kaberle is not going to help any team defensively....he just isn't that strong of a defenseman. On any top NHL team he is a second line defenseman but his up sides our his ability to quarterback a powerplay and transition the puck from his own end.
No GM is going to give up a first rounder for Kaberle......maybe 5 years ago but not in the current NHL. You are either going to get a prospect player and a second rounder or a solid top 6 forward.
I don't think Kaberle is going anywhere. I don't think Kaberle is cup hungry and he is just happy to play where he is and he's said he doesn't want to move his family around. The only way I see Kaberle wanting out of Toronto is if the fans turn on him.....as long as he feels wanted in Toronto he isn't going anywhere. |
