| I'm not surprised the Leafs didn't do anything today....I thought they might add a forward or defence but only if the price was right. What really surprised me was the real lack of overall action today. |

not me, did you see how Edmonton fleeced LA with the Penner deal? Robbery by the Oil. With prices like that, not too many teams are going to throw away assets like that for a rent a player that doesn't get them further in the playoffs. Its probably why Dallas got stuck with Richards, the price was way too much for sure. Dallas is today's biggest loser.
You knew the Leafs were not adding anything today before the day even started. Burke has 12 draft picks this year, it is obvious the direction he is taking. |

Rumor had it that Richards only agreed to be traded to the Rangers and no deal could be made. I think LA was feeling they had to make a "big" move and that's why they went after Penner. I definitely think they over paid for him. |

Richards said he would not put on the blue and white in toronto. I'm glad we didn't get him.
He asking way to much and by the time our team and gets going and consistently competitive he'll be in his mid 30s.
BORING DAY...
On the other hand....
Happy 1 Year anniversary!!!

it's a leafs thing. last 30-35 games, the whoel team turns it up a notch and fights for a playoff spot. its happened year after year after year. |

The last 20 games usually the leafs really turn it up. But now its been about 35-40 games you can see a huge increase in production and offence from different lines and different spots.
Kessel is really turning it up and I believe he'll score about 33-35 goals this year.
If the leafs can win tonight and score 1 point out of the hawks on sat... we'll be in a very good position in terms of the play off hunt.
BTW we now have a winning record which has not been the case since the first game of the season. Let's try to keep it that way tonight! |

| The leafs have gotten points in 13 of their last 15 games....that is pretty impressive. |

| The third period has probably been the most exciting period of hockey the leafs have played this season. |

Yes and if they can score one or even 2 out of this game (currently 7mins left), that will be amazing.
Let's hope they at least get the point... we'll see. |
