February will definitely be a big month for this team. I'm guessing there will be a big trade within the next 2 weeks. If not, it will be very minor with cap issues for next year...

Also, the importance of the Ottawa game on Sat will not only tie us both at 60 points but will give us 3 games in hand. And will send both Buffalo and Montreal down the barrel.
I'm hoping they play better than our last meeting... cause that could have easily been another win had we not collapsed with another 2-0 start.

This is just disgusting....anyone who thinks this was a clock malfunction needs to get their head examined. The time keeper clearly stops the clock for a good second to give the home team an opportunity to score.....having been a time keeper I know this happens. A lot of the time the owners/gms/head coaches have told the time keeper to do this if this exact situation comes up in a game.

They will announce when tickets are available for purchase. The unfortunate part is that it will be rammed at the border the day of which means a possible NYE in detroit.
I don't know if that will be a good or bad thing. Even though the whole city will be making this event into a 5 day-ish event.

Dude, I live in Windsor, right at the border, and I'm not even gonna chance that. Unless I get in on some of the bus deals that a few of the bars and clubs here are talking about, I'm getting a hotel in Ann Arbor, taking it easy on NYE (reasonably) and doing the game and New Years night proper!
Just waiting on ensuring and confirming I got tickets, how many people are going etc and I'm booking the room. Just easier for a few reasons...
1) As you mentioned the borders will be packed!
2) Just like the borders, the highways/freeways into the city and by the stadium will be brutal as well
3) I have hard enough time to get out of bed to turn the TV on to watch the winter classic most years, let alone having to actually get myself to the game
Ann Arbor could be lots of fun for NYE considering...
