Oh yeah!!!
The whole game was boring like hell until the last 5 minutes.
The shoot out is fun!
And if you think about it Sens won in regular time because of that disallowed goal which was a real goal. |

Third Period
Toronto 3 Ottawa 3
5 on 5 - once again I think toronto out played ottawa overall on the 5 on 5 for this period.
Powerplay - no advantage to either team
Shorthanded - advantage ottawa....they played well shorthanded for the last period
Goaltending - Advantage ottawa.....Belfour let in a sad one.
Overtime

Shoutout
Ottawa Wins
Overall - toronto was the better team tonight. I think the Alfredson, Spezza and Heatly line is gonna kill teams this year....probably the best line in hockey. Lindros played a great game....he really turned it on in the third. Allison played good but I wasn't that impressed. O'Neil...I am still on the fence with him. I am still really impressed with Pornakorovski (hell if I know how to spell it) that kid is high energy....I would like to take him to the club. |

I am not a fan of the shout out....never will be....I don't think a game should be decided like that. That first period no goal by Ottawa I am still not sure on. The camera angle is not directly over the cross bar so it can make it look like a goal when it hadn't crossed the line. |

every other game in the world is decided in some sort of overtime or shoot out.
better than leaving it a tie.
too many teams were playing for the tie and not the win.
something had to be done. |

It was done simple to make the game more interesting to the americans. I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to all sports. I still think there should be a rover in hockey. I understand that some change needs to be done in the NHL but shoot outs are not the way to go. I am all for the red line being gone and I enjoy that part of it but it doesn't make the game more interesting to me. I find the best rule is the icing rule where the icing team cannot make a line change on the whistle. |

| boy does Kaberle make alot of stupid passes. Also, he needs to shoot the damn puck. Lindros decided to wake up. As soon as it went to the Shootout I knew Ottawa would win. Should have had Czerkawski shoot instead of Allsion. Ah well. |
