| the problem is buffalo and carolina are tied right now... I hate the three point game |

| wow....what a finish. Only three points behind Rangers with a game in hand. |

if it wasnt for the 3 point game we wouldn't be in our situation.
but i get what you mean. way to go boyce.... the 4th line produces and we showed a lot of grit and pure team work against a sour versteeg trying to show us up!
way to go boys... dilute those points so we can chases 7th and 8th spot. now up are the hawks at home on sat.... if we can squeeze a point out of there, we will be in a great position.
especially since atlanta lost (separates us and them even more). now its buffalo carolina, leafs and rangers all aiming for 2 spots. but who knows! we have 17 games left.... macarthur is playing well now that he knows he'll stay. even phaneuf is contributing more than ever.
im hoping we make the playoffs just to get some experience with these young guys. not because i think they will make it to the 2nd round. at least that way we'll have our feet wet in the 2011-12 season. |

we find out if the leafs are serious about their playoff push in the next few games. My estimate is that they must win 11 out of 16 to get in. Tall order?
(and that is still a big if as i think it is projected that 90 points is the estimated cutoff point and the leafs would still fall a point short.)
thoughts? |

| Sabres in, Leafs out. |

if there were 5 more games in the season the devils would make the playoffs....which is pretty astounding considering their start.
Even if they don't make the dance, Jacques Lemaire should be coach of the year for turning it around so much.
oufff Buffalo is going to get beaten up by Philly or Boston if they make it, but good for them if they do. They have definitely overachieved with the team that they have. |

The deciding factor will be what they do against Buffalo. I see 5 games that they should win so finding another 6 is going to be difficult.
I don't expect them to make the playoffs as there are too many teams going for 7th and 8th spot. Too many three point game possibilities. |

| a pushing 40 Brodeur is still better than what most other teams have. If he doesn't retire this year (which i think he will) he has 1 season left tops imo. I mean what does he have left to prove? He has won basically everything there is to win, and I don't think there are any career crowning achievements left to be had. |

i don't see them making it in either, but i have to give credit where it is due. The Leafs have played above their skill level lately. |

I'm not sure what their stats are since the all star break but I would think they are in the top ten teams in the league since then. |
