This is the worst game ever. Not quality chances, no setup on the power play. Not excitement. I'm surprised Ottawa hasn't scored yet.

Absolute worst game I've watched in years. It was embarrassing to watch and a waste of 3 hrs.

Power play was horrible. Shows how much Kaberle quarterbacks the team.

Well folks, it's offical - Toronto Maple Leafs seasons ticket holders (except 450) are douchebags.

As anybody who watched the game last night knows, it was Canadian Forces night. CF members could attend the game last night as tickets were donated by season ticket holders. Kudos to the Leafs for this promotion.

Here's the problem. There are 10-12000 season ticket holders, half of which are corporate. ONLY 450 tickets were donated. My indignation isn't really directed at individual ticket holders. I wouldn't deny anybody the right to enjoy the game, or take their kid to it. I'm more pissed with the corporate ticket holders. Give 'em up for one night to people who do a lot more to earn the right to watch professional sports than the majority. There should have been 5000 CF members in attendance, and it wouldn't be hard to distribute that many tickets between Reg Force, Reservists, and Cadets. 450 people wouldn't have even been noticed. Hell, more tickets are given out for Boy Scout and Faith nights.

Kudos to those who donated, and to the Leafs for promoting this event; SHAME ON THE OTHER SEASON TICKET HOLDERS.

Don't be silly now and pick up a newspaper to see what is going on in Afghanistan. ;)

even with Kaberle the power play was embarrassing to watch.

It was definitely bad hockey.....I couldn't watch for more then 5 minutes at a time because neither team could do anything right.

Are they not high-tailing it out of there by the end of this year? I believe Canadian forces didn't even play a significant role in the war until 5 years after it started in 2006, and still never had more than 3,000 troops stationed there. So they basically came in after the hard part, and are leaving before the next hard part.

If you're talking about the KPRT, the provincial reconstruction team was an idea started by the US as well.

I may not be up to date, as I tend to not follow news about the "war" all that closely, but even so, we don't get a whole lot of breaking news about Canada's military involvement on a daily basis
:tongue2

Frankly, whatever one's opinions are about the CF or their missions is pretty irrelevant. TML season ticket holders are still douchebags.

Oh no please don't rip my posts apart! You realize the Canadian stereotype you're portraying right now, no? Probably not

I hope, before you start "ripping my posts apart" that you do realize how badly you're wasting your time, but by all means rip away if it makes you feel better about being a second-class country :stongue:

(In case anyone was wondering, I don't have any negative feelings towards Canada as a country, or towards their people. I just find it funny the holier than thou attitude that many posters on here (Yohan) have regarding Americans. You're no better, and the "stereotypes" that you speak of (because I probably know about 99% of what you're going to say), are evident in many Canadians as well. Shocking right?

Don't ing threaten me, alright? Don't make me start pointing out how pathetic it is to threaten someone over the internet.
Zyklon_Jay
you should probably not get into this with one of the guys that actually went to serve in Afghanistan. ;) You won't win this.

You have opinions.
He has first hand experience in the matter.

If being right is a Canadian stereotype, then stereotype away.
