WIlson will be fired this week. Especially if they lose the next game.
Well, it was good while it lasted... (the hope for this season). |

| quote: | The Toronto Maple Leafs slide out of a playoff position has cost head coach Ron Wilson his job.
According to TSN's Darren Dreger the club let Wilson go on Friday evening, two days after the club's 5-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Leafs, who only have one win in their last 11 games, have fallen out of a playoff spot, and currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
The move comes just a few months after Wilson was given a one-year contract extension in late December.
Wilson's replacement has not been named, but it is believed that Randy Carlyle and Dallas Eakins are the front runners for the job.
Chants of "Fire Wilson!" echoed through Air Canada Centre when the Maple Leafs fell 5-3 to the Florida Panthers on (Tuesday) Feb. 28. The game marked Wilson's 1,400th career NHL game coached, tying him with Pat Quinn for fourth on the all-time list.
Hired in 2008, Wilson was unable to guide the Maple Leafs to the playoffs during his tenure. They currently own the NHL's second-longest playoff drought at seven years.
Wilson recorded a 34-35-13 mark in his Maple Leafs debut, the club finishing 12th in the Eastern Conference. The following year, the team posted a 30-38-14 record and finished last in the Conference. Last season, Wilson had his first winning season with the Maple Leafs, going 37-34-11, which was good enough for 10th in the Conference.
Through 64 games this season, the Maple Leafs are 29-28-7 under Wilson. |

Ron Wilson is nothing more than a traitor, a perpetual loser, and an abject failure that fluked into a win in 1996 & has been riding it ever since.
It's about time he lost his job. |

| If the fans didn't like Ron Wilson they are really going to dislike Randy Carlyle. The Hockey Media in Toronto is going to get under Carlyle's skin and it will be a volatile relationship. Carlyle will get the most out of the players but I don't see him lasting more then a few years in Toronto. |

Speaking of Don Cherry, anyone catch that movie about his on Sunday? Grapes of Wrath or whatever?
Pretty good! Whomever that was playing him has his mannerisms and character really good. Good choice of actor. Was funny to see him develop from coach to TV star.
It continues on Sunday again... |

It was good...not quite as good as his other movie...Keep Your Head Up. Its the same actor but takes you through his hockey career into coaching. |

Well I'm not a sorcerer, but I knew the hammer was gonna be thrown down. Really bad way to go out too. Booed like that on Tuesday. My friend was at the game and said it was worse than on TV.
Last year the minimum amount of points to enter the playoffs in the eastern conference was 93. And The Leafs have to win 12 of their last 17 games to make it into this year.... it might be too little too late. |
