| thats really disrespectful im sure a few montreal fans had something to say to the leaf fans there but i like these new schedules were teams play division rivals 8 times so we still have 5 more chances to get back at the leafs |

got a call from a friend who was there, yes booing occured.
But rest assured, those who booed paid dearly for such shameful gesture. They got beat up badly.
After the game, many fights were to be seen outside the Bell Center. |

I hope someone from the Leafs nails that underachiever Tom Poti really good. It'll make all of Ranger Nation very very happy. :) |

not sure what you mean here but if you mean that ovechkin is not good or something than you've got some issues. all these talks about crosby here and there, please. ovechkin is much better than crosby. if sidney played on the ty washington and ovechkin learned from the master himself (lemieux) and played on offensive pittsburgh, things would get much worse for crosby in the calder trophy running. agree or disagree, ovechkin is a better player than crosby! |
They're both great, Ovechkin shoots, Crosby gets his team into the action. Playmaker, Scorer, two different styles. Ovechkin is also bigger and older than Crosby. A year CAN make a HUGE difference in a player's skill level. I'd also argue that Ovechkin has a stronger supporting cast. Pittsburg doesn't look like they could buy a win against a pee-wee team who's shorthanded with a pulled goalie. I also remember seeing Crosby draw LOTS of penalties. Defenders have to haul this guy down to stop him! Scoring points isn't the only way to be a great asset to your team. Compare that to Ovechkin's love of taking penalties... shrug, difference of opinions and all that jazz. ;)
Add to the mix, the fact that Crosby has a HUGE media following and is basically being held up as the next Gretzky. You're looking at TONS of pressure in his rookie year. Ovechkin gets attention for sure, but NOTHING like Crosby is getting, nor is he under the same ammount of pressure. I'm sure you're getting tired of the word by now, but pressure can destroy a professional athlete until they let loose and learn to just do their thing.
You also act like Lemieux is going to be able to teach Crosby how to be amazing. It doesn't work that way. Every great player in the sport has had their own style, copycats can become great, but never the best. It could be that his talks with Lemieux are actually hurting his potential rather than helping him.
Either way it's too early to tell... in a couple of seasons we'll be able to have a better look at who's truly the best. |

If anything more players should be like Ovechkin (personality-wise)! How painfully boring are most hockey players during interviews and whatnot. One guy decides to be proud of his talent and show off a bit and everyone rags on him. And its not like he doesn't have the skills to back it up, when was the last time you saw a rookie perform like he has, Bure (like everyone compares him to)? Thats over 10 years ago. |
I agree actually :) I LOVE the -talk and show-off in sports. It adds entertainment value and deepens rivalries. I have no issue with Ovechkin, I LOVE that he talks big and backs it up. But still, it's great to see a -talker put in their place, that's all I was saying. Crosby is a boring little , but he's still getting points on the board. You can't shut someone up when they aren't saying anything, that was my point. |

i love in football, after a touchdown when they do a dance or some sort of thing that shows how excited they are and how passionate they are about the game. |
