| I'm just happy we're gonna be having some hockey this year, I'm very optimistic that Toronto will do well this year but as for winning the cup the Leafs need some young guns who will take them all the way, sure the leafs have alot of leadership in Sundin and Lindros but it's gonna take a bit more for them to overcome this Stanley Cup drought. |

| Allison can be a big bonus if he gets back to the level he was before he got whacked... It's a big gamble though. Same with Lindros. Both have potential to get hurt badly and that'll leave a big hole in leafs line up. |

Just off the wire....Steve Stumpy Thomas has been practicing with some leafs and says he would play for the leafs for the league minimum. Marchment also says he would play for free...just pay his expenses.
I know Steve is old but for league minimum money I would throw him on the third line. |

How old is he now? 40 something? Too old.
Marchment is still ok for 6th or 7th defenceman. |

Oh I agree he is too old....but for league minimum money why not throw him in there....allows them money to make some moves later in the season.
That is the only problem with the cap....you can only make trades that are dollar for dollar so I don't think you can stock up to make a run at the cup. |

Mariusz Czerkawski , joines leafs. Expect it to be announced thursday or friday.
I am really happy cause it will probably mean that there will me more lafs games on TV, plus its nice for Marre to play with his long time friend Mats Sundin |

I would definately like to see that happen. I think the leafs still have a few surprises left for us :D:D:D |
