i was aware of the roster, it was the lines they are putting together that i was interested in.
i just can't see them making the playoffs, maybe they will prove me wrong. If you look on paper there are more than 8 teams who are better than them, habs included.;)
man you guys might lol at the gomez contract, but not as much as i lol at the colton orr contract:p |

I think Hagman and White will be in the top 6, respectively. White especially. I think he's one of the best defencemen on the team |

The team hasn't really released any lines yet and there hasn't been enough consistency with lines to make any real guess as to the starting line-up.
I understand why burke got Orr but I agree with you....it is laughable. |

Toronto signed all these new defencemen so you can pretty much guarantee they will have starting positions. Kaberle is a given and so is Schenn (you can't have him play all season last year and then send him down this year). Finger is being paid too much to sit on the sidelines. I wouldn't expect White will be with the team long as he's already said he won't be so patient this year. |

komi will play a lot as well.
he can be amazing, and then he can turn around and become a pylon. He should block a lot of shots for you guys. You will also lol at how lucic makes him lose all confidence to go into the corner when he plays against him.:p |

That sucks. I rarely see White make mistakes. He's a very consistent player. I'd hate to see him leave.
Finger, on the other hand, is overpriced and not even on the map as far as I'm concerned |

| Mats Sundin announced his retirement today....so the question is....Is he a hall of famer or not? I am sure he will make it into the hall of fame, as the hockey hall of fame is the easiest hall of fame to get into but I don;t think he should be a first ballot hall of famer. |

he will make it on the first ballot solely because he was the highest profile player for many years in a high profile city that lacked them.
This is not a quip against Toronto either, only reality. Montreal has not had a bonafide superstar since St - Patrick flipped us the bird.
There are tons of players out there that deserve it more and have not made it on a few ballots, it sucks, but such is life. |

The colour of jerseys worn in practise often tells the tale.
Forwards wearing the same colour form a line. More than three in the same colour are the scratches.
That amounts to good news for Viktor Stalberg and bad news for Nikolai Kulemin.
Stalberg looks good in red, with Matt Stajan and Jason Blake.
But Kulemin may find himself the odd man out, wearing maroon with the other likely scratches: Jiri Tlusty, Tyler Bozak and the injured Jamal Mayers.
The white line: John Mitchell, Rickard Wallin, Lee Stempniak.
The blue line: Niklas Hagman, Mikhail Grabovsky, Alexei Ponikarovsky.
The green line: Jay Rosehill, Colton Orr and Wayne Primeau.
The defence all wear grey.
