so when will it be appropriate for me to start quoting all of the optimism in the early part of the season in this thread, then quoting how much i thought that it was going to end soon and the leafs would reclaim their place as one of the worst franchises in sport:p |

he needs proper line-mates...on at least 25 teams your first liners would not be playing anywhere near the first line.
this can't happen with all of that money on defense. |

What he needs is more then one move. I agree that he doesn't have anyone to play with but every time he gets into a slump he goes back to this shooting from the top of the circle crap....he did it in Boston and he's doing it hear. I would trade him for a tie and give it to Burke so he can actually look like a GM. |

he is a sniper....all he needs is someone who can pass the puck properly. With a shot like his, even if he shoots from the same place...those one timers will find their way to the back of the net.
We are having the same problems with Cammilieri this year. |

So how can the Leafs get better?????
They can't buy players anymore, they have little to nothing in the farm system, they can't rely of free agency since players are signing serious long term deals, and they can't rely on the draft since they traded away everything for one dimension kessel.
The only other options left are to either fire Ron Wilson or Brian Burke. I think its too early to fire burke but I'm all for wilson going. It just blows my mind that Kadri starts off the season with the Marlies then gets called up and Wilson can only have negative things to say about the kid and now he is promoted to first line centre.....WTF. |

I remember a few weeks ago Don Cherry was wondering why Wilson said that kardri had'bad habits' on a game they won and he had like 4 shots, 2 assist and was a plus2.
hes terrible calling out his players in interviews. he did it to schenn sometime this year as well. bad attitude. |
