I am assuming already that prices of hotels will be booked. If that is the case I will book around the early summer months as I'm too busy right now to deal with it.

The chances of getting tickets in succession will be difficult if you are going with many people or they may need to be separated in order to enjoy the game during a close proximity.

I'm hoping to go with 8 people max.... 4 I know are going for sure, the rest I'll have to see.

I'm sure this trip to the game will be much cheaper than going to see a single game. (I saw the Leafs beat the wings early in January 4-3) and that was quite the thrilling game.

This should prove to be a very good hockey experience no matter the outcome of the game.

Yeah, I know at least 4 for sure, gonna get some extra to be safe.

I think the whole experience, not just the game is what is going to make this day awesome. Favourite team, great rivalry, record attendance, tail gating.

good luck getting a ticket unless you are a seasons ticket holder.

For the last Winter Classic a lottery was held, as in past Winter Classics, for season ticket holders for both teams to have the chance to buy tickets. However, if you were selected, you had to purchase a three game package, including tickets for the Winter Classic itself, tickets for the alumni game and tickets for an AHL game that would be played on the outdoor rink.

As for the general public, their only shot at tickets was scalpers or websites such as Stubhub. The average ticket price on Stubhub for the Winter Classic was around $600.

The place holds 114,000!!!! Almost 3 times the capacity of both JLA and ACC combined! (JLA ~20k, ACC ~18k)

Not saying it's gonna be easy, but there is a much better chance for this one than previous Winter Classics IMO.

We'll see though, I just got a call this morning actually from the ticket rep for the Red Wings trying to get me to put in a deposit on the 13/14 season to ensure I reserve Winter Classic tickets.

You would have to give up either Kessel or Lupul, Kadri, another prospect and first round pick to even be in consideration for Nash. If Nash goes anywhere he will go to the Rangers

It's not going to happen.

There goes another fish...

Although I heard Patrick Kane might be available.
The Ear
I heard that Wayne Gretzky is making a comeback & will only play for the Leafs.
LightsOut
I'd rather us go after van Riemsdyk then Nash. He's younger and we'd have to give up less. Plus we know how much Burke loves Americans..

If it`s true that Kane is on the market as well, that`s also a very exciting prospect, but I think Kane would command considerably more than van Riemsdyk.

For van Riemsdyk I`d think Kadri + Schenn + a first rounder might do it, maybe throw in Boyce.

Nash hasn't even seen the playoffs yet has he?

Kane has been mentioned, but thats cause they are losing as of late. Interesting though, i wouldnt give him up unless there are locker room issues.

ie. hes beating on cab drivers or whatever.

Considering the rebuild that'll be happening in Columbus, I could see Nash moving for Kadri, first rounder and a prospect and that would totally be in the best interest of both teams.
