AWwww, not going for the Ety's? Come on, lol... they're nice..

I picked up a pair of V6's a few weeks back and today i got some "Beyerdynamic VELOUR DT250 Replacement
Earpads" like you suggested.

My problem is that the new velour earpads don't have any material to protect the insides of my can's... the insides are exposed through to where my ear would be - do they normally come with some kind of felt insert or what?

I am going to have to find something to use but im not sure what sort of material is best. I would use the stuff from the original sony earpads except it is glued (probably by a gluegun! :toothless ) to the pads :(

Any of your wisdom is welcome here :)

Reemo, as far as I know, you only have to take off JUST the piece they are replacing...

I don't know for sure, sorry...

I remember seeing some instructions at head-fi that explains this, but I can't find the thread now..

i once had to replace the ear cushions for my HD25's so i found my old felt inserts from them... they only *just* cover the inside oval area needed for the V6's...

i think that is only a temporary solution... where do u think i could buy the correct fabric for the job?

has anyone else noticed that the oval area in the inside when you use the Beyerdynamic replacement pads is *smaller* than when you use the original V6 pads? would this effect the sound?

Why not use the felt from the V6's? Just leave it on??

hey hows it going ive read most of the thread and understand Sennheiser HD280 Pro.... is prolly the best headphones to get (im getting some technics soon) but my total n00b question is what about those ones tiesto used like on the cover of the in search of sunrise album you know those sony ones i know this sounds like a noob question but i just figured hey if there good enough for tiesto...?

reemo
they would probably be the silver Sony V700's.. they suit him nicely! but only because he gets a big wad of cash from sony for wearing them :)

they are crappy headphones, they sound and they break as soon as you use them...

:D
Jah
