i`ve bought the sennheiser hd200 and its an nice thing :D its cheap also and it has nice quality, and it sits nice on my head:tongue2
Gluegun
Mantisni, you *ARE* talking about the HD202, right? And not the crappy headphones in the evolution series from sennheiser, like the HD200, the EH2200?

And abbas, start reading this thread from the beginning... your questions WILL be answered...
mantisnl
yeah i bought the *crappy* hd200 one, but i don`t think its crappy it worx fine for me, nice clear sound, comfortable.. so...
Gluegun
Clear? You mean the overly bright and boosted in the treble HD200's, with low sound isolation, riight? ;) :)

:haha: No headphone escapes Gluegun! :haha:

Abbas, don't consider the Sony MDR-V500's, they are pretty bad. A local record store here uses them for their monitoring tables, I cringe every time I go there to use those (j/k  ).
DamnDirtyApe
Lol, yes the MDR-V500's certainly do suck. They have weak bass and murky everything else.
Abbas
thanks for the info about the 500s!! :)

I read this whole thread....pages 1......18, whew!!!

I learned alot while going through it, and realized that I'm not giong for any other pair out there....I went to my local DJ shop and he was trying to sell me a pair of really cheap plastic Numark's for $130 (CAD) and he told me he couldnt find the Senns and the Sony's (7506) would be about $200(CAD)....what a rip!!!....so I decided to get 'em on my own ;)

but I still got some questions.....

I want something thats more versatile so that I can used it with my discman at times as well, and it seems like the Sony 7506 are the better choice for that, and it seems like they are more lightweight!

now there isn't a big price difference really between them and the Senns. ($58 and $77) as long as I get what I want!...but I wouldn't wanna pay the $99 for them at headphone.com (it makes a diff there, especially with the conv. to CAD)...

so I'm wondering how often do these 'lemons' with the Sennheisers occur? I assume a number of people bought them from the online yahoo shops, any comments?!

also, has anyone had them shipped to Canada? (I see tranegeek did)....how fast was it? and how much did it cost?

thats it.....after reading this thread I'm convinced to either get the 7506 or the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro.....seems like everyone got their money's worth! :D

Abbas, i have no idea how much shipping to canada is...BUT
i know that on yahoo shopping u can go alllll the way juust before paying for the item and get a total cost

so somewhere in this thread i put a link to shopping.yahoo.com searching for the 280pros listed by cheapest store first..
maybe try finding that link, then figure out how much it will cost...
my headphones will be here tomorrow.
ohh man
280 = xmas early
lol
(i hope)

im not gonna leave my house for 2 days after tomorrow.
Good luck

Rotflmao, so do all of the other MDR-V###(DJ) series of headphones. They all have nonexistent low bass extension and are murky in most other aspects of their sound.
Abbas
is anybody else having problems getting onto the sites of the shops on Yahoo Shopping?

lMIlk
hey ;)

i just got the sennheiser HD-280 Pro's and they ing rock, im about 1/2 to 3/4ths through the burning period..

i just have a few problems, i noticed with the HD-280 pro's i cannot achieve the "full bass effect" (example: not just the bass kick but the backround bass ambience) unless u press down on the headphones to ur ears just a teeny bit..

how the hell can i fix that? is it supposed to be like that?
also, i heard it was really clear on "loud" levels...
well i turn it up volume 25 out of 30 on my aiwa system and it distorts a bit :(

this sucks :( but the headphones are still great! beats my hd 570's by a mi..

Hmm that's weird, it seems like you're not getting a full seal. Try readjusting the cups around your ears (you've probably already done this). It's strange because the HD-280's should have a good grip to create a good seal. Try shortening the extensions on the headphones so they grip your head harder.
