depends if stereo or mono is set i think

stereo:
with the monitor - if it is pushed all the way to the left, then only left channel is playing (both ears) and vice versa with right channel. in the middle both channels are playing on both sides, so you can do one ear monitoring and have both channels playing in one ear.
does this make sense?

I'm just writing to commend Sennheiser on their great customer service. About 2 weeks ago my HD280 Pro's went dead on the left side. I sent them in since I got them only 6 months ago. Today I received a brand new pair at no charge! That's what I call great service! :D

Awesome! Glad to hear it! So what are you upgrading from, and what new sounds have you heard in the depths of all of your music, lol?

i have v700s, which i got for $60, friend worked at the store i bought them. I was so happy to have them, but after reading most of this thread im kinda of not so happy. I know Sony overprices just about everything, but for $60 i think it wass good deal, right? Ive had them for about 6 months now, so when they break, die or something else happens, I know what to get next :D

Well, when I pay $60 for headphones, I'd expect the sound quality for music listening to be worth at least $50. The $60 that you paid for the V700s may seem like a good deal -- but sound quality-wise for music listening, the V700s just don't make the grade. :(

On the other hand, if all you're going to use the V700s for is DJing... :eyespop: :eyes:

I dont DJ :(

I orginally got them for computer games, a well known gaming clan recommended them. Got to hear those footsteps when people try to sneak up on me, and what items are being pickedup, etc. Which is very good, if not over the top for gaming :D

Well after trying technics, hd25s, hd25sps today i got a pair of HDJ1000s for $260 australian.

I couldn't rationalise spending $200 more for the 25s. I needed the larger cup and the sound cannot be faulted. Very sturdy.

I'm playing out for the first time next week ands was in the venue last night. Quickly realised I wasn't going to hear through my sennheiser 200s.

I'd reccomend you at least check them out when considering new phones.

just got my hdj1000's from audiocubes.com (awesome service btw, recommend them)

i am still burning them in....they sound pretty good

can anyone confirm with the stereo switch on, that sound only comes out of one ear?? and mono on, sound comes out through both ears? is this right? seems a bit off

I own a pair of Sennhesier HD280 now............I like them..........but damn.........I'm pretty tempted to get a pair of HDJ1000 after reading the reviews (and after seeing Armin using them :p)

For all you TAs that has try them both............Is there a much difference in performance between the two?
