Absolute crap, the original 7509's are miles better. Although I would still take 7506's/V6 over the original 7509's. The extra hundred dollars or so is not worth the upgrade.

edit

The original 7509's have much more tight/defined bass and less piercing highs compared to the 7506's at high volumes.

My 7506's are modded though with Beyer pads and the comfort is up by a million. They also have quite a bit more bass, comparable to the 7509's but not as defined. This is probably due to their 40mm driver size as opposed to 50mm on the 7509's and the displacement.

If you want a serious upgrade to 7509's with killer bass look no further. Comfortable as hell, much better highs, better mids and did I mention killer bass!

Beyerdynamic DT 770 (make sure to get the 80 OHM version)

You should be able to find them for around $150 USD pretty easily.

That's a good offer. I have the Ultrasone HFI-680 and apart from the wire they're definitely the best headphones i've ever used!

Agreed, If I was not so partial to my 7506's I would pick up the Ultrasone 550's. Sweet set of cans.

I replaced my 7506s with the Ultrasones as I pretty much hated the 7506s. Much happier now with the Ultrasones.

I hate the 7506 myself but i dont know what to get as everyone says 7506 are the best lol. what to get when "best" isnt good enough?
culorut
A good way to find your ideal cans is at least telling us what you did not like about the 7506's then. At least we have something to work off of.

Are the Monster Dre Beats headephone a joke?

Also I am glad that Best Buy carriers the high-end Sennheiser headphone because that 50%-60% discount really helps

Yes a joke. Do not waste your money.

I got the ultrasone dj pro's and thought they were terrible. Seriously, for that sort of money they feel too plasticy, they're not very loud and they distort really badly when you do turn the volume up a bit

I'm usually a Sennheiser fan, but I picked up some of these a few weeks back! They're fantastic.

Ravist
these headphones are ideal for djs as they are tough and sound great!
