But i do <3 clarity and definition in sound... and im struggling between v6 and 280.

| Well, let's start over.... do you need any isolation at all? where *will* you be using these, btw? |

@ the house mainly, but other places as well.
i might even take them out with the discman.
i cant say that i will *need* isolation as soon as i buy them, but in the future if i do need it, it would be nice to have. |

| I just got a pair of 280's from hificoncepts through shopping.yahoo.com. I haven't gone through any burn in period or anything but so far these things are awesome. Definately better then the silver sony's I've been using for the past 8 months. These things block out so much sound and they're clear as all hell... no more muddy bass for me... |

I'm thinking the MDR-V6 would be best for you... just the versatility, you know? easy to power... |

Hey gluegun, lets not think about prices....
What if all the dj headphones where the same price...
would the hd-25 be better than the v-6?
Also to get an idea... do these phones sound anything like the denon AHD-550's? |

Which do I buy?
Technics DJ-1210's (or DJ-1200's)
or
Sony MDR-CD170's?
They are around the same price and they are not too expensive and not too cheap. Which are better and why? For now I'm thinking the Technics. |

if you HAVE to go with either those headphones, the Technics would best best. Even though the Technics 1210 (silver) may cost a bit more (AU$300) compared to the 1200 (black) (AU$250), the strength of the 1210's are a lot better and there is also less plastic. I also noticed that the headphones on the 1200 gets more wringled than on the 1210.
If you havent considered the Sony MDR-7506 or the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro's, you should. Great quality sound and lots of sound bloackage from the 280's.. just amazing..>!!!:D |

Oh Crap sorry I actually meant the
Sony - Sony MDR-7506's
What was I thinking. So the Technics DJ-1210s or these sonys.
See I figured that Technics seem to have the DJ scene fairly well covered so they would know what they are doin. Sony are always reliable but dont really specialise so I wasnt sure what they would be like. But what would you recomend now? |
