Yes, i have a pair. yes they are. They are just overall well balanced.. but at the same time they carry enough isolation and certainly enough power and bass while not killing mids or highs. I certainly doubt that you will regret ordering those.

alright, i currently own a pair of Sony MDR V-700 which are cracking up, and the ear pads are getting crackly as well... im gonna be working soon and gonna have enough money to get a new pair...

i was setting my mind on the Sennheiser HD-25.. i was wondering what you guys think about them.. i've been using my sonys for about 2 years and they have done their job, although kind of heavy, i still love them, but i heared the Sennheisers are a whole different world, and also have replaceable parts...

any comments on them from current/past users would be very appreciated

thanks guys.

THere have been numerous posts about the HD25 in this thread. CLiff notes: they are good and worth the money. So its a good investment

Yeah, my sony's broke around the swivels, I made a running repair using some super glus and a small zip tie to 'bind' it all back together, it's holding well so far.

Thing is, I used some HD25's last saturday... and well... I ordered a some from chemical records on the tuesday..

They are brilliant, more isolation, (so you dont have to moniter as loud), and better dynamics, allowing me to mix comfortably on the highs or lows. My mixing was the best ever done in a club that night.

wassup. i know maybe someone already asked this question in this 800 reply thread... but for obvious reasons i decided to ask it again making it a little more especific for my needs.
anyway, i'm going to buy a pair of headphones in the next two weeks, their use will be strictly for djing so expect hard treatment. of these three, which one is better:

1. Pioneer HDJ-1000 Professional Headphone
2. Technics RP-DH1200 Headphones
3. SONY MDR-V700 DJ Headphones

i'm only interested in one of these three, probably more in the first two. (since i know those sony's are crap.. but who knows....)

if anyone could help me out, i would really appreciate it.
thanx!

Dont get the Sony 700's then, as they will break.. how long that takes depends on how roughly you treat them... I cant comment on the other two...

I got the technics 1200 Headphones...I cant tell the difference with my sennheisers HD-280 headphones...

I do notice there a bit bassier and also the isolation factor is not as great as my sennheishers, but fits more confortablly on my head (i have a HUGE head)

other than that there awsome, some sweet bling bling, im telling you lol. I also dj'd with my friends sets of HD-1000s, they distort at high volume (we both DJ at a danceclub)

well thats my take between the 2.

If you can't tell the difference, try hooking them up to every single item that has a headphone jack in your household... and go through all of your CD's and just *listen* to them--try some non trance stuff too, try some of your folk's or friends CD's... they should have a large difference in how they sound...

I was planning to buy some good senheiser's for listening purposes. Well Im a huge fan of mp3s and my friend told me that mp3s sound
bad with good headphones. Can someone tell the meaning of this?.

I recently purchased a Pair of HDJ-1000 Pioneer Headphones. I am been reading about the headphones breaking, and static issues. Should I be worried? Will they last me a long time? Are they cheap.

Sami, only a good source will bring out the potential of your headphones. MP3's generally lack in quality. However alot of has to do with the ripper. With a good set of headphones, you'd want to listen to a decent source like vinyl or a commercial CD because the quality will really rock.
