I got mine http://www.proaudiosystems.co.uk/ac...r___Pro_71.html they were cheap and really fast too. They delivered next day, which was sweet as I didn't ask for any special delivery.

Changing the subject.. Hey Gluegun what do u think of the Beyer DT531's? Coz a m8 of mine just bought a pair, wondering of ur opinion.

Cheers, Spectra
Gluegun
I think the DT531's are pretty good, with a few flaws. Not having been released in the U.S., they are pretty hard to find reviews on. However, being open headphones, they are useless for DJ's. :)

ok cool. He aint gonna be using them for DJ purposes anyway :D

glueman, first id just like to say thanx for posting all the stuff u know.

i always look forward to ur replies to people cause its like a whole new education lol.

i have 2 questions for ya which MIGHT have been asked previously in this thread, but i can not remember...

First off if a post on page 12 or 13 u listed off some headphones that are all corded on 1 side....I personally cant notice any difference, but i was just wondering, do you think that one speaker (the one with the cord/signal coming to it) plays before the other side?
So if that makes no sense, what i mean is if the cord comes into the left cup, does the left play a sound a hair before the right cup does?

my last question has a few in it i guess.... Im wondering the different kinds of headphones you own. What the crappiest most over rated pair u have come across is, and if you could just choose ANY pair of cans out there what would you take?

The only experience i have is with the v700s from sony. I use them when i spin @ my friend's house all the time, and i have been wanting to get a pair of headphones that i can use with my computer just to play music super loud w/o the neighbors complaining....Aswell as use them for djing purposes as soon as i get my tables.
From what i have read, you are pushing the Sennheiser - HD280 pros. I am swaying towards them because solely on reading the experiences people have who post on here they are gonna buy them, get them, then come back and post that u were right -- the headfones sounds beautiful. Only a few people i have seen around (in this forum and others) have complained about no bass... so it makes me a little shakey. Clarity and fullness are really what i look for when i listen to music. i like to hear Everysound and not let anything be left out.... its like going to the store then coming home with the groceries and forgetting ur 2 kids in the dog food isle.

so im wondering if u have any other reccomendations for me, or any tips? money is not really an issue to me when dealing with quality, although like most people i can not afford $500 on headphones.
=)
Thank you!!!

dOodx,

What an interesting set of headphones....

I don't believe I listed a lot of headphones that are all one-sided.... there is really no difference between one-sided headphones and 2 sided headphones... we are talking about the speed of light here, lol..

The most overrated and overpriced headphones I know of are those Bose QuietComfort headphones. You pay $300 for a set of crappy, active-noise-cancelling headphones that can be beaten in sound quality (and isolation) by a pair of $20 closed headphones.

The Sennheiser HD280 Pro's are an interesting set of headphones. For one thing, when they go right, they work *RIGHT*! However, other times, they take 100 hours of burn in, and, sometimes, as there seem to be some quality control issues, they don't sound good or are too hard to drive... however, if you don't get a 'lemon', you should be alright. So, how do you prevent yourself from getting a lemon? Easy! Simply buy from the place with the best return policy, which happens to be www.headphone.com. Sure, they are a little bit more expensive than some other places out there, but you pay for kickass service -- which you get!

If you find the 280 Pro's too bulky for you, or if you get a lemon, than you might try the Sony MDR-V6 along with the Beyerdynamic pads! That would be sure to be a combo that *always* works well, lol!

yeah, i think im leaning more towards the V6.

also, i keep coming across the MDR-7506 which, from what i understand, is exactly the same as the MDR-V6 other than a gold plated plug.

Glue have you (OR anybody) personally tried both and come how saying get the V6?

its only like a $10 difference between the 2, so its not that big of a deal.
Gluegun
Sure it's only $10 difference?
