my stanton pro 3000's snapped on the adjustment band today. I've only had them since november of last year, and I've only used them at home on my free time... which isn't much.
they also have cracks on both left/right cups....
I talked to stanton and they told me the warranty is 1yr, and we've arranged for them to send me a new pair.
off to finding a better replacement now...
just my experience with these cans |

Exactly the same thing just happened with my Pioneer HDJ1000 phones.
This is my second pair and I have had this set since October. The right ear snapped off on Froday night half way through my set.
I have called Sapphires (decks.co.uk) and I need to send them back to get replaced again under the warranty.
Great headphones but they don't last very long...
part is I am due to fly out for a short tour of Cyprus on Wednesday and I just know I won't get the new set by then...
So I will need to borrow a mates Sony headphones, I have already had 2 sets of those break on me also.

Yeah, if you go back one page on this thread you will see 3 of us complaining about the stanton 3000's.
The sound quality is superb but the build quality is pure !
I took mine back and exchanged for a pair of Sony MDR-V700's
Sony seem to have improved the build quality on these as they are still as good as new and they have a lot more bashing around than the stantons ever got.

The Numark PHX headphones are great and have a nice price tag too :)
The accessories that come with them are a bonus too,.. |

You dismiss a product just like that after 2 sec?
Then it's quite obvious how much your opinion is worth.. |

I've never seen any headphones fall apart as fast as those Stanton 3000's , it took less than a month for them to become junk and I agree that they sound amazing . At home I use Sony MDR-V700's but at the club we have now Technics RP-DH1200 . I'd be interested in the latest opinions about those Technics headphones . |

ive seen a couple models listed to have a frequency range of as low as 5khz... is that true or is it just something thrown out by advertizers to get ppls attention...
like the 700s ive seen to have a 5hz low same as the 3000s and v600, the hd1000 are said to go down to 8hz...
anyone know if this is legit info or if theres a way to prove it? ive read alot of mixed specs on models depending on the site i check
i own the v600 and ive been listening to alot of dnb lately and ive noticed alot of frequencies that just seem like they come from somewhere else within the phones and when i listen to the same part on my spinning setup those same parts are usually the ones that wind up coming from the sub |

Everyone i know who has been near those stanton pro 3000's have all said the same thing, great sound, crap build and all have returned them for exchange.
You would think Stanton would be getting the hint, spesh as those items returned all share the same fault.
Stanton are a great company, thier needles and carts are amazing, thier range of decks spesh the str8-100 and str8-150's are superb, thier mixers are of the highest quality but wtf they doing with thier headphones?
I hated the pro 2000's i had, sound was muffled and had this weird kind of delay that i've never experienced with any other type of headphone and the pro 3000's fall apart if u so much as sneeze whilst wearing them.
