but i too have a few questions about it.
1. does it play every bitrate mp3s (like 192 and 320 cbr and vbr)?
2. does it play wav data files (wav files burned on the cd as data not audio)?
3. are the loop functions useful and easy to use? can you get a good 32 beat (or more) loop going easily from the start of the track and from the end? can you get a loop going while the track is playing (like emergency loop when you notice you've ed up and are running out of beats)?
these are the only questions i can think of now. but i sure as hell would like to sell my cdj-100s for a pair of those. 0,02% precision compared to 0,1% would be just so good. and the loop function could be pretty damn good too. too bad i'm a poor student, so i don't know if i can afford to make the change! :( |
i think they are $500 a piece, i dont know if they are better then the 800? |

500??? i was thinking of getting one.... but an 800 can be bought on ebay for the same price... =(
if they were 300-400 i'd have one in my room by tomorrow..

well 0,02% compared to 0,05% pretty much decides which is better for me. i have no need for scratching or any of the "vinyl" bs on the 800 and the 800 is ing ugly too, so for me it's 200 all the way. and they're cheaper too. so i don't see any advantages the 800 has over the 200 for me, but the 200 has one major advantage over the 800 and that is the precision. |

Keith you do realise thats my *dream* setup!?
I'm saving up 4 a pair of those mk5gs + mixer. At the moment my rooms getting done up & i'm looking for a new dj stand.
Sefour x30 looks like the best option for me as its well built & wht not. The main benefit is that i'm able to add a cd bracket when i finally get cd decks. The price is the only deterence £330 is the cheapest i'v seen for it.
Anyway i'm wondering what speaker stands they are? |

Yeah they are really good, built like a brick .... house and the faders on it are brilliant, its great for mixing trance. :D
I reckon if they had put on board effects on it then it probably would have been one of the best mixers around atm, me and my mate were saying the other day if only you could have this mixer with the effects from his dnx1500 on it. :eyes:
Sadly I'm not keeping it though, I got my Numark 5000fx yesterday been waiting for that for about 6 months now and then they released it last week 1 month after I bought the technics one. :whip:
The numark mixer is really good though so I'm still happy, its not the same build quality as the technics but the effects on it are awesome. I'll put some pics of the numark up tomorrow sometime.
P.S prob gonna be putting the technics mixer on ebay if anyone from here in UK is interested let me know, I want about £450 for it ( I paid 500 a month ago) |
