i got the idea for sideways speakers from this thread... yes, i learned to beatmatch on that :)
in all seriousness, i am going to order Vestax VCI-100 for Traktor this week, i think i'm good enough and ambitious enough to use it... i'm also shopping around for a desk (and a new computer chair as well) |

Updated setup once again...
Since the Xone 3D didn't workout for me (and I had foolishly already sold my Xone 92 rotary, which I loved)... I decided to go with a classic style rotary, the Rane MP2016a and XP2016a.
This resulted in a major construction project (since the mixer can only be rack mounted, connectors are on the bottom).
I built the 19" rack (bought the 8U rack rails at guitar center), and cut a 15"x19" hole in the desk underneath it. I also built the CDJ stands and the stand for the Trigger Finger (for use with Torq) out of pipe fittings and plywood.
Lighting was done with 2 Chauvet LED color splash JR's under the desk, and two LED light strips on the bottom of the CDJ stands (for lighting the mixer area).

:eyes: Love rotary mixers! :eyes: Looks impressive! :eyes: |

CDJ800MKII
CDJ1000MKII
2x Alesis Philtre
Stanton DJF-1
Vestax PMC46MKII
Sennie HD25
Stanton ST150
Alesis Philtre each on a CDJ
Stanton DJF-1 on the Master of the PMC46MII
Works nice with a dedicated filter on each source!
I don't use my turntables that much anymore since i've got a second CDJ. In the near future i want to get a decent active monitor set and some new (nicer) furniture.
The second turntable is connected to the PC with it's digital out for digitalising my vinyl (lot's of work) |
