I see a Rotary, but you said you had a linear. Did you switch? |

I had ordered a linear, but they sent me a rotary. I didn't bother to notify them. :) |

| I saw that lots of DJs have active monitors. Are they helpful to learn how to mix ? |

Nope, they just sound nice. |

They are. Monitors don't just sound nice, they sound accurate. If you mix on studio monitors you'll spot every little flaw easier/better than you would on regular speakers. This can be good to improve your skills, but a lot of dj's don't like it for just that reason because you hear almost everything. A lot of dj's just want to hear their mixes flow and sound nice, if that's what you want monitors are not for you. |

When I liste to a set done with my old speakers I notice that some mixes are not as accurate as I thought when I did it... I would like to change my speakers to get a more accurate sound but I have not been able to test active monitors. I hope I will be able to go to a store before buying some new speakers (active or not)...
In order to listen to music, are active monitors (like KRK RP6) well done to make a good sound in a 20m² room ? |
