I love them, they sound amazing for there size, they have a hiss sound when there is no music coming threw, thats about the only downfall, but they sure can pound, I have not taken them to there maximum volume yet, but have gotten close, and the sound quality does not drop on them, since these run directly from the mixer, I can only feed so much bass into them, and so the low ends are not huge unless you have a really bass heavy track, or you have a pre amp between them and the mixer to increase the bass, but when you do get a bass heavy track, these speakers shine considering they are only 12" speakers.
I have thought about getting a 18" sub for them, but I'm in no rush due to what these can deliver.
On a side note though about the bass, come to think of it I think this is mainly due to the quality of the music I am feeding into them, most the time, I have these hooked up to my iMac playing either a ty quality feed or a low quality mix, add to that, the long ty cable for hooking the iMac up to the mixer, and the ty soundcards you get with built in soundcards, this is probably why, as when I play my beatport tracks (320k) threw Serato, there is PLENTY of bass and dynamics.
One last thing, I have heard one problem with these Mackies are the heat they generate, and that they like to shutoff when too hot, I have had them cranked alot and only experienced this once, with just one of the speakers, this was due to it being on the floor with the amp/heatsink up against a wall with a heater not far away, it didn't take long to kick back in, but would be annoying if it was a frequent problem, but then again I had them BLASTING away for awhile, just ask JDigitals roommates :D . |

Thanks guys, yea thats how it is all the time now, as for the sheets, the one at the very back is temporary, but the booths one is attached on, I did that to disperse the blacklight underneath, made it a whole lot brighter, there not bed sheets, there just a thin white material I got from a shop here, works a treat.
If you think that looks good with its lighting, you should of seen it on NYE, it was enough to rival small clubs.:D |

| Interested to know why you have your decks facing that way, instead of the normal? Are you a scratch/hiphop DJ? |
|

I'm more interested in why have both speakers facing away from the decks?
Sure, you've either a) Got it like that for the photo, or b) when people come round for a par-T in the basement - but do you keep it like that for every day use? When you're playing with yourself (if you get what I mean... (and no, I'm not calling you a wanker...!)
Looks great, and I'm sure the sound's still great, but I'd like a monitor with the speakers facing me for clarity's sake.
Of course, this is all based on the fact that I'm picking holes in something that looks fan-bloody-tastic out of jealousy! |

| For detailed mixing that doesn't work, even if they are loud, most of us would simply turn the volume down!! |
