that's not really true. if he bought it first the label and artist at least get some money |

i can see what skip is saying -> making two copies of one tune and reselling for profit, but surely the majority of ssl/fs users are doing this, thats the whole point, i mean even the promo vids (ssl/fs) are practicly saying 'get rid of all the vinyl you have, you wont need it anymore'.
i put money on 99% of ssl/fs users doing the exact same thing.
i just cant be dealing with having all the vinyl i have taking up all the space, it just makes sense. and im not going to burn them.

i was a resident dj at a club for 5 years in a row so thats whats paid for my gear.plus im a radio presenter so that helps (get everything for trade prices)
| quote: | | How are the stanton cd decks? |
the stantons are actually pritty good the scratching is spot on but like all cd decks it does sound a bit digital:(
effects are cool filter, phase, echo, pan, flanger, transform aka Cutting effect as on the pioneer djm600.
there are some things they didnt say about the deck like you can actually change the start up/power down of the track i.e make it sound like the song is starting really slow then speeds up and for the power down make the song sound like its getting slower and slower (like you would do on a TT when you click the power off) so in my eyes it is the newer version of the pioneer cdj 1000mk2 but made by stanton.i also has two cdj 800 (but inly use them for gigs) and to be real there aint anything different between them well the price is one and the looks but underneath the shell.............. nothing!
i can really see this cd deck given pioneer a hard time its great for live remixing due to the 4 hot cue buttons but in fact you can store 12 hot cue points which this is another thing stanton did'nt say.
pros
looks nice (they look crazy in the dark like some kinda power plant or somat!)
great pitch range +/- 8,16,25,100
loads of features which have not been menstioned.
good price tag for them i paid £640 for them both (not trade price either).
Fader start funtion (great tool to use)
cons
jog wheel is a bit heavy so watch out when you do a back spin it goes on forever.
sampler could have had more memory added to it only has 5 seconds per button.1-4
blue screen a bit hard to read the writing aint dark enought for the background colour.
when you load a cd up a tray comes out instead of like the pioneers where you can just slide the cd in.so lads whatch out for your crown jewels if you have these cd decks set up at a low hight.
overall i would give them a 9.5 out of 10
the missing 0.5 is because they are not the industry standard (YET) plus they will have to earn the respect of the top djs just like the pioneers cdj 1000 had to do.
p.s what do you guys think of dual cd players?
i.e numark cdn90? |

you can do that on CDJ1000s too, even the original ones (not the MKIIs) |

Nice, clean set up. How do you like the Behringer Truth's? I've thought about getting those, or the KRK RP8s or RP6s, dunno yet. |

i know that you can do it with the pioneers you can on the 800 aswell BUT you cant change the release rate thats all.the reason i was saying the stanton 304's are the newer version of the pioneers was because they have a hell of a lot more features then any of the pioneer cd decks (well accept for MP3 compatability).
BUT when pioneer bring out there new cd deck im sure they will have the same features on them as the stanton c304's. |
