She's got her speakers set up for her home theater system, and doesn't have independant monitors yet (I'm working on figuring out an economical/practical solution ATM), so for the moment, it's headphone mixing FTW, which isn't the worst as the DJM 500 has a split cue, so she can definitely get the idea and feel of eq'ing/beatmatching etc. while waiting for a better monitoring situation... |

it works for now, especially considering i usually don't spin until late at night and since i'm in an apartment i don't wanna wake up my neighbors anyway. my home theater speakers aren't too far away, and i actually have the right one turned towards me so that i can at least hear some sound coming out of the speakers... it's just not good enough for monitoring. |
