Looks real nice.
Should work a treat, don't see much wrong with that at all. |

Cheers mate, fingers crossed it comes out resembling the above slighty :)
D@ve: Just wondering, How did you get a piece of MDF that long? Maybe it's just me but the top piece looks longer then 8ft.. maybe it isn't though :) |

Joost's pics on this page are Christian O's, and the pics in his post on the previous page are mine.
With mine - the mdf top is 2.5 metres long, you can buy lengths about 2600 here (i think, you can pretty much get any length you want).....
Just looking at your plans, maybe put a rectangular frame (made out of pine 2in by 4in) at the bases of your shelve units. On top of this havea solid shelf. It may not look quite as good, but it will probably provide a support for your table, it'll help brace your shelf sections and this should help brace the whole unit. Up to you though, it should be more than strong enough if you have backing boards on it. |

Hey, cheers for the heads up. Just looked at it again and it's actually D@ve's set up i think.
Hmmmm maybe it just looks extra long in the picture then.
Regarding my table, it's all going to be made of 18mm MDF. The back board is also going to be made of 18mm mdf, and the whole lot is going to be Glued and Screwed. Should be sturdy as a house! (hopefully lol, touch wood)
Cheers for the idea though, if it isn't sturdy enough when it's finished i'll be doing that :) |

| MDF is inexpensive but heavy. I used "baltic birch" plywood, it has more layers than regular plywood so it's stronger and you can use thinner material. That's what I used for my little tabletop - I take it to houseparties so lightweight is good. |

My new set:

I sold 1 CDJ-1000MK2. and borrowed 2 Technics 1210 MK2. If I receive the money of the CDJ-1000 i will bring the MK2 back and buy 1210 MK5's
Now you see from the left to the right:
CDJ-1000 MK2
Technics 1210 MK2
EFX-500
DJM-500
RP DJ-1210
Technics 1210 MK2
