hmm thanks for pointing that out. I think Ill go to guitar center and try it out first. |
yeah no problem, id love the Nuo 4, but i have no use for Midi, and it doesnt have effects or the independent VU Meters, and id die to have the Nuo 5, but it has no independant VU metres, theres one for the master output, and then one that is specifically for the PFL, or the track in cue, so i guess what you could do, if you're mixing only 2 tracks, and you often use the VU meter for "reassurance" like i do, is watch the master vu and vu for the track you're cueing, more than 2 tracks it gets difficult |

Not really difficult... just check the two channels in cue seperately, set them where they need to be, and your good to go.. |

i was thinking the same thing, but only downside is no VU Meter on each channel, thats something i Love to have, it keeps me from buying a nuo 5, maybe in the future when im better at this, but otherwise, pioneer djm 500 or 600 is in my future | There is no good reason, right now, to buy a DJM-500 or 600, unless you're buying used. A used 600, fine. I've never been a fan of the 500, though.
I agree with you on the channel meters. Ecler really missed the boat on that one. |

I have the nuo 4 and have to say its really not a big deal. its actually even easier to look at the VU meter when its always right next to the master level. it has definately helped me keep levels in line a bit more...just my 2c :) |

This weekend was something new for DannyO and Myself... Decided to spin on friday night (not something new :p ) but we decided that we needed to combine our DJ setups together, as DannyO wanted to try out my new Nuo4, but we still wanted to use his mixer for effects and sampling, Matrix unit, etc etc..
All in all we had the following.
1x Ecler Nuo4
1x Denon X1500
2x Technics 1200's
2x Pioneer CDJ200's
1x Kaos Pad 2
1x Serato Scratch Live
1x IMac G5
The result was one hell of alot gear pushing upwards of $8000. All worth it though as we in went nuts spinning. Tony Morello made a visit aswell. Here are the pics I took this morning of the setup. Night/Spinning photos will need to be provided by DannyO. :p

Enjoy  |

| How do you Nuo 4 owners like them? I'm strongly considering it as my next mixer. I might have enough money in the near future to afford something like a Xone 92 or DJM-800, but if the Nuo 4 is as good as I'm hearing, I think I could just get one of those, and spend the difference on a Bistream 3x and Soundbite Micro |

I love mine, Tony REALLY liked the EQ's on it.. and I have heard ONLY good things about it when I was researching it... :) It will be my last mixer for quite awhile. |
