Just moved into a flat with a basement, stage one of the studio conversion is complete (i.e. actually got the decks set up). Next step, desk for production PC and a rack for the mixer/synths. Probably a trip to Ikea for some shelving to put the rest of the vinyl in too.

Someone always says this! lol :)
I'd be tempted to turn the desk and decks around 90 degrees to face towards the stair case, so that if you do have people down listening to you you could face them.. Not sure if the EFX 500 is attached to the wall though. I just prefer playing while looking out at people rather than a wall. But you probably have your reasons for having the desk there :) |

perhaps you should keep the drinks away from the keyboard :p
n3lly: its a nice idea but with all the other stuff that needs to go in there just wont be the space, alas.
the far wall will have desk for PC, rack for the synths/mixer and other bits plus a full size 48 key keyboard. I also want to get a bench for weights in too. Quite a bloke den! |

The table and lights are from Ikea, I figured it was cheap enough to use until I move and build a proper table...
The bikini shot slipped in there by mistake last time :D
They were from a big pool party at my buddy's house, not my chick, she was definitely hot nonetheless... |
