Ahh... the PVC has better angle selections than the pipe fittings I used. My pipe fitting brackets are so sturdy you'd pull the desk over before moving the CDJ.

oh yeah before i started out with the turntables I used to rock Vitural DJ and Traktor studio. Now i just use it to record the to the computer. Actually it works pretty good going through the mixer as well. |

Updated setup once again...
Since the Xone 3D didn't workout for me (and I had foolishly already sold my Xone 92 rotary, which I loved)... I decided to go with a classic style rotary, the Rane MP2016a and XP2016a.
This resulted in a major construction project (since the mixer can only be rack mounted, connectors are on the bottom).
I built the 19" rack (bought the 8U rack rails at guitar center), and cut a 15"x19" hole in the desk underneath it. I also built the CDJ stands and the stand for the Trigger Finger (for use with Torq) out of pipe fittings and plywood.
Lighting was done with 2 Chauvet LED color splash JR's under the desk, and two LED light strips on the bottom of the CDJ stands (for lighting the mixer area).

lol I knew someone would ask me that:o
Speakers are an old Panasonic AK300 setup near my computer (on the opposite side of the room). Speakers are ok, but I usually use my headphones (Pioneer HDJ1000) because I'm in an appartment. I might sell my Panasonic speakers for M-Audio or KRK but I have no room near my setup for that, so they would be near my computer at the same place of my Panasonic ones. I have no problems mixing with speakers on my back.
But first, before buying new gear, I need to pay the EFX:) |

How is the EFX working out? I'm debating getting one, or just waiting to integrate ableton again (dunno if I'm going to bother after my Xone 3D experiment went so badly).
It's so big though! Almost the size of a CDJ :)

I love it. It has a lot of tricks you can learn (like a feedback loop or the 3 bands isolator kill). I'm still learning how this thing works ;)
For those who might be interested to know how it is connected. The input of my EFX is plugged into AUX1 of my Xone and then the output to the Channel 4 of my Xone. This allow me to use the crossfader of the Xone as a wet/dry control. Much more useful than the standart AUX fader on the Xone in my opinion :) |

Yep, that's the way to hook it up if you have the extra channel input!
It has it's own wet/dry control right? I just got the Rane, and the effect insert is only on the master...
