To be honest, I think that's the second saddest sight in the world. The saddest being when it's a pile of CD's stacked ontop of a 1210.
They're turntables people, not something that gets in the way of where you want to put your stuff!
(I'm not against the Ableton movement, or CD DJing by the way, I use both myself - but it always brings a tear to my eye to see that kind of thing (even if you had absolutely no alternative).
Maybe I'm just tired...
Nice set up though, love the 'coffin'.

| that can of pop looks like its in a dangerous position it could destroy your mixer and deck. |

Hey man, really love the black shelf. Great setup. Does the sub not fit in one of the squares? |
never thought of doing that actually, and measured it up last night, remarkably, yes it actually fits. but i think it wouldnt be sensible that Sub has a lot of bass, it sounds nice in the same room, but its this very deep, floor/wall shking bass when you're in the room over/above.

The sub looks too wide to me.
Only thing i'd do to it now, is slap a nice picture/poster/whatever you like in front of you. As well as nailing (not literally) the speakers to the wall in front of you. It'd be sweet having the 3 speakers hung off the wall in front of you.
Look forward to seeing the other pics.

the sub is actually milimetres away from being too big, and JUST Fits :tongue2 (about 2mm space above, 1.2 cm on the side of empty space)
as for the image, thats going to be today or tomorrow...im actually getting a wall shelf with "hidden" brackets from IKEA to put in front on the wall, and that turntable Image that Events@Spec posted a few months ago as well as some lights...as for the speakers being wall mounted, what i plan on doing is building my own brackets, and putting the speakers on these, as the mounting bracket on the speakers themselves is too wide and would go into nothing but drywall, i'll figure something out however where i'll get Front L front R, and Center all mounted properly, already have a very god idea for what needs to be done, sorry i havent gotten to posting other pics yet, but will soon.

damnit now i gotta clean my room and make a trip to ikea...that thing just looks kool as hell... do u have urs bracketed to a wall? how sturdy would u say it is, if u didnt bracket it to a wall? |
its a really nice shelf and I enjoy it...its called expedit, and it is the 149x79cm version in black brown. :D i dont have mine bracketed to a wall...its pretty sturdy despite the fact that it isnt, but i built it much better than the store did, they had two side by side, one was okay, the other was ...when i post more pics, i'll give some advice on putting it together for whoever is interested...but i might as well say some now...use wood glue, the strongest ya can find on the wooden dowels used for joining certain parts, there are 8 screws on the side, initially you put two in first and another 6 in last, not until the other 6 are in is it more sturdy...and tioghten them LIKE HELL, but this doesnt mean use a drill, they did that in store and stripped all the screws...use the provided alan key and a little but om muscle, the more you tighten those 8 screws, the better, the slightest bit helps.
more pics to come soon :D |

I hate to do that but sometimes you don't have any space to put more gear we improvised so everything can fit, its very hard to get all gear in order only in clubs you have that kind of space, my next mobile booth will be design for 2 cdj 1000, 2 turntables, 1 mixer, 1 labtop, 1 efx and a midi controllor or maybe I will build some adaptors for the one i already have. Post some pic later on, enjoy life dudeee their are saddest things in the world than that come one.

Well, just don't do what I just did. I spent time, effort (and money) building a unit in the spare room to hold 2 x 1210's 2x1000mkiii's and the DJM600.
What happened? I was 3 cm out in my measurements!! The result? Got to set the 1210's up the annoying way...
I've made a template to stick over it all to make it 'Recessed' (kinda got to really) but I think I'll just get a pair of the Citronic CD stands (unless someone has a better idea) and I'll raise the CD decks over the mixer and 1210's the right way round. Not what I wanted, but at least someone can deal with it ok:
Here's me thinking he spent all his time hunting for Hunny...
I'll post a pic of the unit when it's all finished.
