here is the set up that another DJ and i designed and built. there is still some work to be done (black trim and putting a clear coat finish on the wood) but this is pretty much it. the only thing you can't see in the pic is the amps and the dual 18 sub that the dual 15 JBL towers are sitting on.
the next purchase will be a pioneer djm-3000. it is gonna be fun recutting the table to make it fit:rolleyes:
also, we are in the process of designing and building an island behind the table that houses all the vinyl and cds that we have.
eventually the turntables may be upgraded, and final scratch may be added.
the monitors and the turn tables are all on cushions and there is no interference with the turn tables when the monitors are turned up (even though it looks like there would be). |

Gourhellyea, my cases are just some generic ones - I don't think they even have a name. I bought them on eBay for $20 each. They're usually really cheap and should cost no more than $40 each. I like them a lot, though - good insulation/shock-absorbing foam in the inside and a nice, black felt look on the outside. Very heavy cases (as heavy if not heavier than the flight cases) with metal corners and keyed locks. The only bad thing is that the cases are cut so that it fits the TT's super-snug, so that you don't have space to put the wires/cables anywhere. So when you close the cases you gotta lay the cables on top of the TT's and some people complain that they scratch up the TT's but I just cover the tips of the cables with a paper bag or something when I move them around.
DJ Xtronic - dude that is a super sweet setup. I like how it looks and even better: you set it up so that it's better for DJ'ing as well (like put the monitors right by the TT's so the DJ can hear clearly). Damn, are those the latest Pioneer CDDJ's?! Those suckers are INSANE! Bling, bling! Oh, I like the mixer, by the way ;) |
