Why would you use a high end DJ mixer for production? You wouldn't. The only kind of mixer you'd use would be a basic mixing board (ie. not DJ oriented) and you'd probably want 6 channels at the very least. |

I dont think he needs two when using the djm 1000 cant u select the channel you want to use the efx 1000 on, like effect a track on channel 1, then flick it to work on channel 2?? I had the money for the 1000 but i decided to go for the 800 cause of the midi capabilities with ableton etc. And i love it. Ill have to get round to posting a pick of mine sumday lol |

Your probably right but this mixer to me seems overkill with 6 channels and it looks awfully like one of those boards used by producers. And you said you'd probably want 6 channels, and this has. How many DJs have 6 things connected to their mixers? Most likely it's 2 to 5 things (2 CDJs, 2 TTs, and an effector, but even then they don't all use one). It was just unphantomable to me that someone would have a DJ mixer with 6 channels. All I saw were two CDJs, so it didn't seem neccessary, but I guess he has TTs and wants an effector as well.... |

yeah, i've had those speakers since 1999. DCM is what they are and they do pack a punch.
it's a 3 way speaker, so i saw no need for other monitors.
